Lewandowski could be the best next option? Vucinic - Lewandowski - Giovinco would be hugely disappointing though.

I wonder why we haven't been showing much interest in Falcao.

because we have allready spent about 50 million dollars
And we still would supposedly spend over 30M for a world class striker.

Napoli have shown a complete lack of willingness to sell Cavani yet we've shown interest. It would be a shame if we bought a second rate CF before even asking about Falcao. They sold Aguero for the right price.

In a positive note, you cant buy starters as long the Euro is in progress.
So hopefdully we will conclude all the other deals, evolving subs and youngsters until its concluded and then focus on the starter hunt.

With Chiellini's injury, coming right after Barzagli's, i hope we realised, that 3 CBs are not enough to last a full season, in 3 competitions.
We need at least a 4th in the same level, just like we did with the CMs...

Teams dont usually rotate their CBs, so having 4 same level CBs is a bit too much. We already have Caceres, but I agree with you if we are to play with 3-5-2 then we need one more CB for depth.

I agree we should be flinging ourselves at every world class forward and put bids in left right and centre but when you hear stories like the board wanna keep estigarabbia for next season as well as boriello it doesn't quite give you confidence we can get the big name forward striker signing we need

Apart from the youth players, it seems all our first team players have been bought from within the league. Veratti,Isla, Asamoah and Giovinco. Add that to the Italian CB , Mark keeps on telling us, it seems Marotta doesn't have much attraction from outside the league.

seriously lets think about this leali, sorenson, magnussen, pogba,,kondogbia, veratti, appelt,di silvestro, libertazzi do we have the best youth players in the world?
Top notch for sure, though I don't think the world, just look at Udinese ;)

That would be massively disappointing and I don't want Giovinco as a starter. Yes I hate giovinco but he could be ok if he shuts up, takes another number other than 10 and accepts a bench/rotation role not as a starter, he isn't good enough to be a starter because to get the stats he got last season he needs a whole team to be built around him.

Has Athletico shown willingness to sell?
:xfinger: Marotta should offer like €35m for Falcao and see what happens.

I don't think we will keep either tbh. We bought Giacch and we got Isla as well, giovinco seems likely to stay and Esti is crap and would hardly play. Borriello, well, I hate the guy and I don't think he will be renewed at least not for the agreed option price, I could see him coming if we sell Matri but even still I would hope we would get Destro/Borini instead.

Marotta has done a good job so far but the transfer window hasn't even opened yet so we should relax on who we're linked or not linked with. Personally I'm guilty because I as well want this big name WC striker bought but IMO we won't see an official signature for at least another month but I'm no guru.

If Lewandowski is presented as the world class striker we were promised I can understand if some are disappointed. He is not world class.

He is one or two years from it.

So I would be more then thrilled. The management shot their own foot by claiming they'd sign a big name forward this summer - of course that makes everyone willing to sell able to put an extra value into their players!

On a sidenote; I really like good Youtube videos so i get a lot of updates there all the time. This one is very interesting IMO - he is 21 years old and his contract runs out in 6 months. Potentially a bargain; potentially the "new-new" Nedved??

Enjoy
