If you take it at face value where he would be a rotational defender, they could do a lot worse. Plus he is stil fairly young for an Italian defender.

Why would we want one of the highest paid players who is out of form and old?
Ask yourself that question.. Torres had one good season in Liverpool but the real Torres was in Atletico Madrid (the league where it's possible to score tons of goals)

I think, we are in for Torres. I dont doubt that. But I will doubt "the .. fact" that we have offered €30m for him. Remember that Romeo Agresti loves the number 30. He also said, that we were about to offer Cavani the same amount.

Is it a rule that a player most earn the same money in every club? I mean even if Torres gets 10 million euros every year. I believe he would accept 5-6 million euros a year. It would be a fresh start and if he rates his career more then money he should move on. Juventus would be a smart move for him IMO

And if Parma won't take 10M for half Giovinco (which is already overpriced - his true whole value is around 15M), let's go to the envelopes then.

Inter doesn't have enough money to spend a little more just to fuck with us. I mean, Juve offers 10M. Parma won't have 11M. Inter won't have enough money to cover Juve's proposal and also pay Parma more than 10M (otherwise it wouldn't be interesting to Parma).

So I don't see the point in forcing the situation. More than 10M for half of this guy is just waste. Let's go to envelopes
