I'm sure that's the plan by Conte. He wants Marrone to stay and adding Verratti to an already sick ass midfield would not be fair to the young kid. Let him do his thang one more year in Pescara..

If we get Cavani, our team is just going to be so physical. We're going to be leaning on our opponents hard, running them ragged, grinding them down. This great blend of physicality and skill is going to serve us well with so many games next year... I love the direction we're going in.

I'm getting ready to fly to la belle provence, just so I can give you a :dule:

Obviously for the Juve transfer news... but also to console you after the Therrien hiring :p

I keeeeed, buddy. Maybe not the sexy or sentimental choice, but it can't be worse than last year.

I would be dissapointed if we didn't end up with cavani or rvp the only way id feel contempt is if we get suarez and keep matri I think matri would do well with with better support which he will now get thanks to isla and if suarez theoretically came. De ceglie's crosses cannot be underestimated either

Look in all honesty I would be happy with

---Barzagli-Chiellini-Bonnuci/??---
-Caceres-------------------Isla-
-------Vidal--Pirlo--Kwadwo/Claudio-
-------Jovetic/Vucinic--Dzeko--------

Now I would be ecstatic with that mid and defence with
------Ramirez/Giovinco--Cavani/RVP/Pipita-----

If the Isla deal goes through then I have a feeling that we will see Giacc and Pepe making appearances on the left. We still a CB, a RW and then that big CF.

I don't know where the money for a new LW would come from.

De Ceglie is better as a wingback than Caceres and Lichtsteiner to be honest. He's far from stellar there but he's slightly better than the two others. Caceres should be our fourth CB and Lichtsteiner our second RWB and first choice RB when we will use the 4-3-3(which should be fairly frequent).

I think we have ignored the LB/LWB too long now. we got away with it this season because we were only in the league. Potentially coming up against quality teams that play predominantly 4-3-3 we will be faced with talented and quick wide players that De Cegle isn't good enough to stop. I'm happy with the right side of defence but our left needs upgrading

Just got up now..OMG what a piece of news :tuttosport:

.......................

-Signing Isla also means we wont take up the option of signing Padoin permanently which would be awesome.

-Isla's signing strongly points towards 3-5-2 being our main formation next season.Although i'm fairly certain he would be used as a RW when we play 4-3-3 at some point in time.He has got great acceleration, dribbling ability and crossing to succeed at RW.So this move makes all the sense in the world, not sure why people are complaining.

-We just made our strongest point of the team even stronger.Midfield is the key to winning games against big opponents and i'm really glad we've bolstered our midfield depth with superb additions.

-Talking about LB ,PDC is impressive and gradually improving game by game and turning into a quality player for us,also agree with Treq ,PDC in a 3-5-2 is the best LWB option we have at present. But the only problem is this guy is somewhat injury prone ,i've seen Caceres play LB for Uruguay and he has been rock solid.I dont think there are many quality LB options out there right now and if Kolarov deal is not possible(tend to think its unlikely) ,i'd be fairly content with the LB options we have at present especially with the versatile Isla coming in.

Do you guys think that Bocchetti could cover the LWB position? he's not the most technical player but he's got pace and that way we could reinforce both CB and LWB positions with one sigining.

PDC is going to be our starting LB/LWB next season me thinks and i'm actually happy cuz he is constantly improving by each passing day and defensively has been very impressive not spectacular but solid.

Right now the question is an alternative to PDC.At the moment we have only Caceres now as a cover for LB.

Bocchetti is slow as hell and could be terrible at LWB.There are reports that say we could extend Esti Loan deal ,i say why not ?He's been with a team for 1 season whilst hardly being impressive could serve as a useful backup in my honest opinion.

My updated wishlist for Juve.

Vucinic/Destro --- Cavani/Matri --- Ramirez/Pepe
Claudio/Giacch --- Pirlo/Asamoah ----- Vidal/Marrone
De Ceglie/Isla --- Chiellini/Caceres --- Barzagli/Bonucci --- Isla/Lichsteiner
Buffon/Storari

Cavani - 40m
Destro - 5m?
Ramirez - 15m
Isla/Asamoah - 15m
-------------
Total = 75m

Out: Boriello (0m), Quag (7m), Gio (8m), Elia (7m), Krasic (7m), Estigarribia (0m), Melo (10m), Padoin (2m), Pazienza (5m), Ziegler (2m), Grosso (0m), Manninger (2m) = 50m.

Net = 25m + Player Sales :matri:

If Isla comes, I wouldn't sign a left back because there won't be a need for one. Isla, Chiellini and Caceres can provide cover at left back. Giacch can too, in worst case scenarios. More importantly, only 18 players can make the squad list for match days. It will be hard enough picking those 18 and keeping everyone happy with this squad.

Some of the prices may not be correct, but I'm not trying to balance books of accounts. So please don't nit pick on small details. ;)
