I don't know what's so bad about €75m overall for one of the best strikers in the world though, Luis would probably total to a similar amount on a 5 year contract. We definitely need a finisher, someone to put away at least 25 goals a season consistently.

I'm surprised to see you have the hots for Ramirez (as a player, that is). Because you always speak about top players. Ramirez isn't one. He's good, but he's not great, and I honestly don't think he has the potential to become great either. Would be a useful addition to the squad, though, but not someone worth splashing lots of cash in order to get.

It's time we get some major upgrades, not just slight upgrades.

I don't think he's a top player (yet), but he has the potential to be. He's explosive and dynamic. Unless we can get someone like Neymar (in 2 years time), then I don't see a reason not to push for someone with so much potential.

I'd love us to acquire top players, but seeing as we aren't Madrid, Barca, City,Chelsea, or PSG we are going to struggle to acquire one top player, let alone two!

Suarez + Giroud is better than Cavani + no one else for the RWF position (or even worse Farfan/Kuyt/Kalou).

If we get giroud i suppose suarez would play at rwf and for 30 mil there are better wings around , i would certanly not spend 30 mil on suarez to play him at rwf

More then I expect Matri to lead us anywhere. Could not see him be vital in a CL win. Destro is a big talent and could and probably will become alot better then Matri. I know Matri has played for NT, but right now players like Destro and Borini is before him. And they will have a bright future. Matri will either be a Juventus benchwarmer or go and play in Russia or a smaller team in Italy. I believe that Matri will never become a starter in WC or EC for Italy. Destro if he develop right could. Neither Destro or Matri would bring us to glory as a key player next year. But Destro could in the future, and Matri never will.

I want us to sign very best players possible for the right price. I am sure that we can do that . Look at last years transfers. We bought Vidal, Pirlo, Lich, Vucinic for 35m euros ffs.

If we splash so much money (45m - adding here Matris value of the transfer) on one player, it should be for someone like Falcao. A proven WC player. Not on Cavani. I rather we sign Berbatov, Ramirez/Jovetic and Destro for 25/30/35M than buy Cavani for 30 + Matri. Freakin RvP or Suarez would cost us less than 45m FFS!

Dont get me wrong. I rate Cavani. He will suit us. But we should not pay more than 30m for him.

Chelsea will pay 40 million for Hazard... He is not worth that kind of investment.

That makes sense tactically but it depends on whether or not the clubs would sell these players and for how much. Montpellier's president wants astronomical figures for Giroud, sanchez and suarez would both cost atleast 30 million but would be worth it.

Look at our targets,
Cavani : Fu*kin Delaurentis is a douche
Higuain: Mou doesnt look like he wants to let him go
RVP : Now his mother is suggesting him to stay at Arsenal + 29yo
Dzeko: Wage is already too fukin high
Torres : looks like he wants to stay
Maxi Lopez: I hope he rots and plays in serie B

So thats why,Giroud (20-25mil max) could be the option that gets us the goals, and he wont cost as much as those above,except Maxi and therefore leaving some money available for the RWF,I know it could probably be none of Suarez/Sanchez, but we will definitely still have some money available,say if we get Cavani for 40 mill,then theres no more money for a good rwf.
+ we need a new Frenchman!
