My point is that if we can get 15 million euros or more for Matri then we could use that money for a better attacker. Matri IMO is a ok player not more. You seem to rate him high, and thats fine, we all have our opinion.

You could get a potensial worldstar for 15 million euros. Matri is IMO only good as a sub in a team who wants to fight for Champions leauge victory. But yeah Matri is a good sub, but for 15 million euros I would sell him. And use the money on a worldclass striker like Cavani. Then I would have a player like Destro or Immobile as backup. They would not cost more then 15 million euros( Immobile less as we own 50% already) + their potensial is much higher then Matri. Destro for example are already before Matri in the NT, and he could be bought for less then Matri.
Matri has already played for the NT, and you seriously expect Destro to lead us to glory if Cavani goes down?

:howler: And you call my evaluations ridiculous. Matri is worth 18-20 Million Euros at most. 22 Million at least? You must be dreaming. That's some unrealistic shit there.

Lest you forget, we bought him for 18 Million Euros in the winter mercato (a panic buy of sorts) when prices are already inflated.
forgive me for rating our top scorer of a championship winning season highly.

There has to be a turning point, after which we walk away. Cavani is hardly worth 30m plus Matri. A lot of people forget the kind of support he enjoyed with players like Lavezzi and Hamsik around him. Yes we have decent players too, but a lot of the perception Napoli has created around Cavani is speculative. He is not a striker worth the amount we are rumoured to be offering. In fact, I think even being a Cavani fan, I think RvP and Suarez are better value for money targets. And Suarez even moreso. The best thing about the latter two deals is, we won't have to see Matri play fir Napoli, or DeCeglie or whoever else they're asking for. I'm sorry but 30m plus Matri is the point at which we need to walk away. Let's not waste an entire summer blowing up our budget like this. Let's buy Suarez and concentrate on other areas. He us good enough to take us up a notch for now. Vucinic and Suarez as wing forwards is as good as it going to get in Italy. And not too far off, being one of the best in Europe wi the midfield that we have. Quag/Matri would do just fine with those two flanking them.

I'm surprised to see you have the hots for Ramirez (as a player, that is). Because you always speak about top players. Ramirez isn't one. He's good, but he's not great, and I honestly don't think he has the potential to become great either. Would be a useful addition to the squad, though, but not someone worth splashing lots of cash in order to get.

It's time we get some major upgrades, not just slight upgrades.

Buy Suarez for about 20-25m and build the team from there. He earns about 5m at Pool, we don't need to be offering him much more than that because he's looking to get out of England himself. Pool seem fine to sell him, if we are to believe the rumours, which make sense given their absence from Europe. We won't be hurting our salary cap too much and inducting a player that's guaranteed quality. For me, it's the best deal on the market considering all the factors at hand.

Are we ready to plunge 45 m for a player like Cavani. Considering the financial lost we had, and the big name flops we have been having, this is a very big risk. I say if we can sign some like Suarez for 25 m, sell off Matri to those Russian teams, we can easily have another CF in the class of Damiao, Giroud or Lewadowski. 2 for the price of one. If this offer of 45 million is true, those this beat our highest paid transfer made for Buffon ?
