if Roma can 'listen to offers' for DDR then they can certainly sell Osvaldo...I will continue to dream.
Osvaldo is anything but a dream; a nightmare more like it. Cue a bunch of random Tuz posters with an infatuation for mediocre Italian strikers :touched:

Anyways forget Destro, we got Immobile and Boakye who both have decent amount of potential (I don't wanna get my hopes up).
One of Suarez, Sanchez, Isco or Jojo n the summer would be dope.
But Gotze would be orgasmic!
Suarez: No chance!
Sanchez: Only if he asks to leave, and Barca are willing to sell.
Isco: Likely destined for Madrid or Barca; if not, the PL beckons.
JoJo: Dealing with Fiorentina after the Berbatov Saga?! :klin: :D
Gotze:  Do you have 30m+ lying around somewhere?

Since it's bloody obvious we can't afford a 30M+ striker + wages, I say we scout rigorously for more talent, and be patient with them (as we have been with Bonucci, who has drastically improved). There is no point in getting a quick fix for our weakest department (attack), and then finding excuses a la Marotta as to why we couldn't get anyone better.

The Osvaldos and Pazzinis of this world are the not the solution; they are actually part of the problem.

I was thinking more along the lines of scouting the next JoJo/Cavani/Falcao. I know it's a risk putting 8-10 million on a youngster in the hope that he succeeds, but we've bought mediocre established players like Giac and Padoin for no small sum.

Since we can't splash huge amounts, or splurge on "luxury purchases" then I assume this is the only way forward.

I agree, I would like us to either scout better, buy a bigger name even though it costs more cash or just not spend at all. Arsenal is finding out again that buying average players gets u an average team. Nowadays you pretty much have to buy your victories, it's a shame, but that's how modern football is.

Fear not, The Beppe will do something unexpected and salvage us. Believe and you shall receive.
