Fuck Rossi, and Fuck Osvaldo.

Yes to Lopez and Llorente :agree:

We should really be looking to expand into new markets as well; there's no way we are going to accumulate a new fan base or expand our existing one if we buy shitbags like Osvaldo.

If Agnelli and co. were smart, they would use the little media influence they have to create a propaganda campaign to bring Ronaldo to Italy.

Say stuff like: "He dominated England, Spain was too easy for him, but could he cut it in Italy? To prove he's the best, he must succeed here."

And have random defenders like Raggi saying that he would love to make Ronaldo his bitch.

Use his ego against him :D
Bring up the fact that Juventus breeds Ballon d'Or winners.

We can try and create our own superstars, but that has only happened twice in the past 20 years, with Zidane and Del Piero.

Zidane was a well known name prior to his arrival (not a superstar yet), but great things were expected of him. Del Piero was close to leaving for Parma (thankfully that never happened), and he is one superstar we truly bred.

Nedved, Buffon, Baggio, Davids, and numerous others were already acquired once they had established themselves. Breeding our own superstars isn't that simple, and there is no guarantee that any of the current batch will turn out to be anything special (let alone unearthing a gem of a striker).

true, but we are heading in a new direction were we buy quality youngsters worldwide, so our native italians train with better players, become better.

with foxes like patri and marotta, i can see this pay off

and since the other two teams that spend significant time on this : pedorsenal and fagcelona, seek diffrent characteristics then us, there is a big market

how did he blow up his knee?

If he is available for 5m and ready to train in January then we should definitely sign him on. Could turn out to be a very valuable asset.

Why take the risk? I never liked the fucker, and he had one solid season. Moreover, I doubt he can offer more than Vucinic, and I have a feeling they can't/won't co-exist. He'd be worth more of a gamble if we were still playing 4-3-3, but seeing as the 3-5-2 is our default formation, we should be looking at other targets.

I meant blew out his knee :D My mind drifted towards something else as I was typing ;)

Pre-injury Rossi would be great for us. The guy had great movement, technique and was very clinical. At this point I agree with Bianconero81, we shouldn't waste money and space for a player who probably will never come back to himself after those injuries. It's better to go as we are, after all Matri and Quag can score some important goals for us yet. Save money for summer and look for a better option. I'm not for splashing 30-40m for one player but people who think Rossi will leave for 5m aren't serious. There will be competition for him so he'll not go for that cheap.
