I feel Marotta is stuck at 20 Million; for him that seems to be the maximum he's willing to pay for a good player. He then hopes that by adding some of our shit/deadwood, he can bridge the gap and close the deal. For example, if Fiorentina value Jovetic @ 30, Marotta must think, hey if I offer 18-20 Million + random player(s) Juventus don't need, perhaps we can reach a compromise. This approach/tactic doesn't usually work, especially not for the big players, and most definitely won't work outside Italy. In any case, I don't think Llorente is/was the main target, but he'd be a decent compromise if we do end up getting him. I just have a sneaky suspicion that Marotta is not a tough negotiator when it comes to the big names, and gives up easily. He's not willing to put up a fight, or push extra hard. Again, that is just my opinion, and I could/migh be wrong.
