His major failings this summer has been not getting rid of all of the deadwood, getting raped again by Gala over Melo, and the most important is not getting a big name player, why does he agree to overpay for the likes of Matri, Martinez etc but won't go that little bit extra for RVP, Llorente or whoever else? Puzzling.

And this was his biggest test no matter what else he did. So far, he's a failure for me. But I'd like to give him the benefit of doubt and wait till aug 31.

I feel Marotta is stuck at 20 Million; for him that seems to be the maximum he's willing to pay for a good player. He then hopes that by adding some of our shit/deadwood, he can bridge the gap and close the deal. For example, if Fiorentina value Jovetic @ 30, Marotta must think, hey if I offer 18-20 Million + random player(s) Juventus don't need, perhaps we can reach a compromise. This approach/tactic doesn't usually work, especially not for the big players, and most definitely won't work outside Italy. In any case, I don't think Llorente is/was the main target, but he'd be a decent compromise if we do end up getting him. I just have a sneaky suspicion that Marotta is not a tough negotiator when it comes to the big names, and gives up easily. He's not willing to put up a fight, or push extra hard. Again, that is just my opinion, and I could/migh be wrong.

TJ: juve made a 6m bid for Kolarov. Shitty want 10m. I would fap to that.

Kolarov/Armero. Either work. But I'd say Kolarov is the better of the two.

Kolarov for me too.

Vucinic/Giovinco - Llorente
Kolarov - Marchisio - Pirlo - Vidal - Isla
Chiellini - Bonucci - Barzagli
Buffon

I would say that team is good, just lacks a real leader in attack.

At the moment we don't need Kolarov nor Armero that much. We have DC, Giaccherini, Pepe and even Asamoah to play LWB. We lack an efficient striker and this should be our priority.

If anything Kolarov was more hyped in Italy than he was in England. Armero is hyped because of Udine's exploits as a team. Off the two, I think Kolarov is the better decision maker and would slot in very nicely only the flank.

I like Armero too, but I think Beppe and Paratici have Kolarov as first choice, that's probably why the Armero deal is on hold, coupled with the Ziegler issue. Hope we close one of the two soon.

They're not mutually exclusive. We are still the market for both positions, I'm pretty sure of that. If we get Kolarov for anything under 10m it'll be a fantastic deal, but I'm confused as to how we will handle his salary. Let's see how it plays out.

If we fail to get a LB/LWB (Armero), and a key signing in attack (Jovetic/Dzeko/Llorente) I wouldn't deem this Mercato a failure, but I'd be hard pressed to give it more than a 6 at best, as we will have neglected our two most pressing needs yet again.

don't forget your boy Pazzini :D we are so getting him!
Fuck Pazzini, that fucking piece of shit. He doesn't figure in my ratings. If we get Pazzini, the ratings don't change, as he is a cunt and a giant turd (I should even give the mercato a negative rating with the acquisition of Pazzini, but that won't be objective now, would it?) :D

I just want to give you a big hug. I can feel your frustration.

Myself, I would normally be in the same boat as you, but the Lakers getting Dwight Howard has taken quite a lot of the sting out of what has transpired with Juve for the last week or so

I'm also a Magic Fan, so I'm sure you can understand my frustration even more :D I don't mind the Lakers much, so seeing Howard suit up for the Lakers as opposed to New York, Boston, or Dallas, is less disturbing.
