We have strengthened our midfield, added depth, bought some exciting youngsters, but our attack still remains rather average by European standards. We will do well in Serie A, but struggle in Europe, where there are more quality teams, and the pace is significantly greater.

I propose a creative approach to solving our striker dilemma: Jovetic on co-own for 25 Million Euros (12.5 to be paid this season), and Dzeko on co-own for the same amount (12.5 to be paid this season as well). This is pretty much the same approach we adopted/utilized to get the Udinese duo, and I'm sure if we push hard enough, it's doable. We commit a specific amount for both this season and next, and in the process end up acquiring two quality players, and having a solid attack for the next 5-7, if not 10 years.

I think Jovetic is long gone my friend.

Lets hope for Dzeko.
I beg to differ. I think Jovetic has already agreed, in principle, to join us. Have you seen him come out and deny anything? The onus is on Marotta to make Fiorentina an interesting proposal. I just feel we are waiting for another 10 days or so before we clarify our situation pertaining to the forward line.

Do you honestly think we have the financial capability to co-own both Jovetic and Dzeko? And second of all, I highly doubt Man City would even want to fuck around with co ownership shit, if we want Dzeko it has to be a straight purchase.

Forget about it dude. We arent getting a top player this summer. Marotta and the board have made it clear that were not gonna break the bank on transfer fee + astronomical wages on one player.

You know the more I think about it, we should just go for Dzeko. His total cost would be lower than RVP - he is younger and should adapt well to Serie A. I also don't mind a Quags-Pazzini swap. Both are players of similar value but Pazzini is more the poacher we need.

Forwards would be: Giovinco, Vucinic, Dzeko, Pazzini, Matri

The sales of Elia (~6m), Krasic (~7m), Melo (~7m), Pazienza & Padoin (~4m and ~3m), and Ziegler (~3-4m) should give us the 30m of transfer proceeds needed for Dzeko.

I don't really see the need for Jovetic. I like him a lot but this Juve needs a finisher 1st and foremost.

Bonucci, I believe, is probably going to be acquitted (just a gut feeling) - so no need for another center back. All we need now is Armero and the squad would be complete.

Starting XI (3-5-2): Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Armero, Giovinco, Dzeko
Matchday Bench: Storari, Caceres, Lucio, Isla, Asamoah, Vucinic, Pazzini
Reserves: Leali, Masi, De Ceglie, Marrone, Pogba, Giaccherini, Pepe, Matri

(Leali likely to be loaned out and we will get some other old 3rd choice keeper)

And why is that ? His salary is higher and his transfer cost certainly is...

it would amaze me if we get more then 1 mil for lolziegler, and more then 3 for, pazienza and lolpaddo combined

A part of what we spend also likely has to be coverd by these sales

we cannot afford dzeko at current time. not unless city buys rvp and we get a discount on dzeko, but that isnt going to happen it seems

It's the wishlist thread for a reason you Biatch :p

I honestly don't think we can afford Dzeko and Jovetic, let alone one of them. However, we must try. There's no harm in trying to go for both, and see how things go. I don't know the rules regarding co-ownership outside of Italy, but if it's impossible, then there's nothing we can do about it :sigh:

I think we're trying if there's a slightest possibility for that, but I believe the circumstances wont allow us to do so.
And yes. no co-ownership with non Italian club.

Some afternoon BS for y'all

Sky Sports understands that Juventus' interest in Luis Suarez will not detract from their move for Robin van Persie.

It is understood that Juventus would ideally love to pair Van Persie and Suarez in a dream attack.

Whether either deal is pushed on remains to be seen, but Italian champions Juve are aiming big.

They have already made a firm move for Van Persie but, as with rival bidders Manchester City and Manchester United, have not been able to agree terms with Arsenal.
Sky Sports understands that Arsenal are standing firm over their valuation of the Dutch striker, who confirmed earlier this summer he did not wish to extend his contract, which has one year left.

Whilst Juve continue to work on a possible deal for Van Persie, they also have an interest in Suarez.

But it is understood that their interest in Suarez is long-standing and their ideal scenario was to sign both players but whether either deal can be done remains to be seen.

Despite his troubles last season, Suarez remains popular with the Anfield faithful and his performances underlined his quality.

 :howler: If we manage to somehow pull that off, I really don't know whether I'd be more shocked/in total and utter disbelief or elated and overjoyed.

We're having a hard time getting one "top player" in the current transfer window. Getting two in two summer mercatos might be possible, but two in the same mercato is nothing short of impossible.

maybe by cimtting nearly 20mil les for a sub CM less, we could afford both a SS and a CF, but now we prolly have to settle with a CF.
Maybe Isla destined as the anti-Pepe though, because Conte wants someone who can defend.
