However, if we do lose Matri, then he might become a necessity. Nonetheless, if he becomes our primary acquisition, and our forward line ends up reading Giovinco, Pazzini, Quag, Vuci, and Destro, then good luck being relevant in the CL.
Pazzini will be a Juve player next season, I have a very strong feeling about it and it will be 100% done deal when/if either Matri or Quag are sold.
Although he is not a WC player and I will be very dissapointed if he will be our only front-line signing but with that said it seems that pepole vastly underrate him over here.
He is a very clinical striker, has good poaching instics with a vey good ariel game despite not being very tall,
Pazzini is a much better fit to our system then Matri and he is an upgrade over him IMO, I think that in a 3-5-2 he is going to do a very good job for us (sampdoria played in a similar formation and he was very impresive).
Again I do hope for good news on the Jovetic front, but signing Pazzini Shouldn't be on Jojo expense money wise and he's definetly not a bad player to have on the team as some members here suggest

I know in football teams you need both depth and quality but come on! Marotteye PROMISED us a top forward and we obviously need a top forward as much as we do depth. We will be so trolled if we get b type italian strikers, has he learned nothing from the Secco era or Aguero? Top forwards cost 30 million+ these days if you want quality stiff sh1t you haveto pay it. If you don't wanna pay the money for a top forward don't then go out and tell the fans were going to buy a top forward.
yeah well it actually costs more money to buy 2-3 mediocore strikers as it would have just to spend the big bucks on say higuain,cavani, or jovetic and not having to buy anyone else in their position for the next 5-10 years. Marotteye is good at building the team on a budget and with depth but we need to add that bentleigh to our mansion not a ford falcon
If we get Pazzini we would probably get another forward (a bigger name) as well...
Pazzini is not a bad player but I dont rate him more than Matri so IMO it wouldnt be an improvement in the finishers department but more of a better depth
Pazzini and Matri are about the same in finishing. Matri has a better movement which helps him getting service while Pazzini is better at heading therefore he is a more complete finisher. Matri also doesnt get enough credit as he plays more than just a scorer as he sometimes contribue to the play while Pazzini is just a finisher.
Overall they are about the same but none of them is great.
As for Destro - Yes he is talented, Yes he has impressed this past season and he scored a good amount of goals for a youngster but lets not get ahead of ourself. His current level of play is not better than Pazzini or Matri so getting him as a starter would be wrong, getting him as a sub would be ok but the best way to improve him is to loan him to some other serie a club! Therefore if we are going to spend some $ on someone I rather it be someone we really need rather than a talented youngster as we are a side which needs to look to improve as we are not at Barca or Real level yet. Barca and Real (aside from improving to beat each other) can focus on talent if they like as there is no one they really have to buy. They could always improve their team but there is no one that can make a huge difference!

I do agree that we need a high quality CF, however. That was plainly obvious last season. I don't agree that Jovetic is a necessity. He's a very attractive proposition but not the most important player we need. If you want to go with a 'floating' attack then he's fine for this season, but Conte always went with a central reference striker, even going with Borriello, so I don't see that changing.
