So before Calciopoli, Barcelona were more prestigious than Juventus?

TBH they did have a few bad years in the 90s but they were a bit more prestigious than us for most players I would say. Our peak was 94-97 when we had 3 CL finals in the row and at that time we were IMO in the top 3 teams (Maybe us, Real and Man Utd) but after that it went dowhill for us and uphill for barcelona, but the difference is smaller than Real.

Had we won 2 or all 3 of those finals it could have been very different.

Like the guy above said, prestige in this case is about the average fan or player, and 8 out of 10 fans/players will say Barca is more prestigious.

Thank you.

In these last 7-8 years they could never make up the prestige we've built up over the years.

FFS, its not a wall that you build and then it stays the same and the others have to build a higher one.

Prestige is simply the public perception of the club. Since Calciopoli ours went down considerably while Barcha won the CL 2 times and the league a few times playing the best football. Of course they're more prestigious.

Seriosuly, why is it so hard to be objective, it doesnt mean you love Juve any less.

Juventus has lost far too many Champions League finals for their own good, agreed. Pre 2006, I don't think Barcelona match up in terms of achievements and Juventus are the more feared team.

It depends on who you ask. Many people in Denmark consider the big clubs in Premier League and Real and Barca the most prestigious. But back in the 80s & 90s many Italians clubs were on the same level if not higher than all english and at least Barca.

I personally consider Real Madrid the biggest club in the world. But I don't support them.

Yup. Correct.. Real Madrid is an all time number 1. They took Zidane from us in our good years..

What are we then? We lost the last 3 champions league finals we played in?
No. We've been in 7 and lost 5.

Barfa are perceived to be a big club, but in reality they are nowhere near that status pre calciopoli and vis a vis Juve. Madrid, are arguably the biggest club in European and world club football. Juve's perception has taken a hit on two levels, the relative lack of CL champion medals vs the other biggies like Milan, Bayern and United who recently overtook us. And the unfriendly commercial strategy all these years. They have failed to tap emerging markets the way the Epl and to some extent La Liga clubs have. With Agnelli in charge, hopefully that changes.

Yeah, like I said, we lost the last 3 vs Borussia, Madrid and Milan, won the one before vs Ajax.

And all you said is true, meaning that Barca is currently much more prestigious than us and is on par, if not above, Real. They are the top 2 clubs in the world reputation wise right now.

I don't blame them. There is only one Danish channel that show's Serie a, and that channel is very expensive. While La liga and EPL are being boardcasted by 2-3 channel's who reach out to 80% of the people for a very low price..

Danes only watch Italian teams when they play in CL and that's IF they play vs a big club form Spain or England.. (unless you are a fan of serie a ofc)
