Nothing wrong with making a signing that you only intend to get a couple of years use out of, so long as the price is fair.

I'd sign kaka/drogba/seedorf/nesta all at 30 . Not palacio though, at that age you need to be able to make a difference

He will never leave! He will never leave my heart. If I'm blessed with health and longevity I will tell them tales about a small man with a HUGE heart that spread smiles everywere he went all the way by spreading terror in his oppositions hearts. To my grandchildren and tell them whatever fool they're watching has got nothing on Del Piero.
