Gio is a good player. No is advocating starting him, or claiming that he is a Messiah, but when you have guys like Pepe, Giac, and Elia as options for your RWF/LWF, then wanting Giovinco back to use in rotation is not a stretch. It's not like we are asking to bring him back to displace Ozil, Robben, Ribery, Messi, Nani, or Ronaldo.

I still believe we can get both an upgrade to Pepe, and a quality/top striker/forward.

I don't think a LB is more pressing than 2 quality strikers/forwards.

Oh, and Deneb, Higuain sucks :p Just kidding. I really like the guy, but I think Benz is better ;)
i'm fine with that, but to say no i dont want higuain is just ridic

i think many have touched on this, and everyone who mentions having him puts his as a starter, gio doesnt want the only thing he deserves: the bench. Pepe or giacch would and i d argue, and the season so far supports it, they work better for us anyway, so why bring him?

Not wanting Higuain is indeed pathetic. He would definitely be a massive upgrade, anyway you choose to look at it.

As for Gio, I don't give a flying fuck how much hard work and effort Giac and Pepe put in; I'm sure Conte can instill this work ethic in Gio. We have had a bunch of loser coaches over the past few years. Under Conte, I feel Gio will be revitalized, rejuvenated, and reborn. I'm sure Conte will make him understand exactly what his role is, and consequently Gio will be happy to contribute. I'm quite certain he wants to be a member of a winning squad. The previous coaches gave him mixed signals, and hence he felt unappreciated.

not only is that arguable but someone being better than what you already have is not reason enough to get them
No its not arguable (better then both quite clearly), and its reason enough when we cant buy "star" quality in every position for the offensive roles, and Giovinco has shown he is clearly a good player that should be given a chance, well overdue.

Are you going to take that, Deneb?
i havent addressed or read what that guy wrote in over 2 years, not gonna change any time soon

really? not arguable? maybe gios also better than chiellini and buffon, oh wait they dont play the same position. and just like with position shceme/tactic is also important and i would take pepe over gio considering both their form and fit in our current scheme. So this narrow simplistic 'better' is just that. Pepe has this season backing him up, gio doesnt, and even if he were to be an upgrade next year i dont think itd that significant, and certainly not worth having him sulk in the bench.

You honestly think Pepe is comparable to the point you consider him possibly a better player? Yes or no.

And oh nice, yeah, saying he is better then Giaccherini and Pepe is just like comparing him to Giorgio and Gigi...

like i said gio is obviously a better footballer than chiellini, but does it mean he should play CB? i hated pepe as much as everyone last year, but for a big part of this season hes been one of our best players. I think we should have a major upgrade upfront and gio is not it.

If I was to ask you at the start of the season if pepe , barzagli, de ceglie deserved to start you'd probably say no..

And that is because they were poor last seasons prior to this one, Gio is coming off an excellent Serie A season as one of the better players in the league, but no, he doesnt even deserve to be considered...

Pepe still doesn't deserve to start.
No shit, apparently everything is explained by sheer hardwork, and he cant be compared to other wingers/forwards because of his defensive work.

As I stated multiple times, We will need all the depth and quality we can get next season, with Serie A, CL, and Coppa Italia. It's going to be a whole different ball game/kettle of fish so to speak.

Vuci, and a new RWF as starters (Gotze/Ramirez/Eriksen/Ozil); Gio, Elia, Pepe, and Giac to be used in rotation sounds about right.

I'm hearing Gotze and Nani's names being mentioned quite frequently. What are the truths to those rumors, and any chance we can/might get them? What about that kid, Lucas Moura, whom Emerson highly rates?!
