Because he transforms on his national team, and turns out a lot better than what one sees off him as part of Mancini's team. I think he's very intelligent on the ball, and his strength would add to the physical calibre of this side. I think his attacking prowess would add a lot to Conte's vision too. Cissokho is another alternative who is a better player defensively, but you can tell by his time at Lyon, he's dumb and error prone, though he too could do well with the right guidance.
That might be the case with Serbia, but you can't ignore his City form. He rarely looks intelligent on the ball, in fact his decision making has had me laughing several times, with his ridiculous cross and shot attempts from all angles. He will regularly get the ball in and around the box, sometimes near players and other times nowhere near, if anything his unpredictability of delivery is something of a weapon. Then there is the issue of his tendency to stand and watch instead of playing offside.

I don't think a player becomes massively good or bad depending on the team they play for, it's just that his City form has highlighted his glaring weaknesses. He seems to suit playing in a side that gives him a free run down the left side to play his own game, so in that sense he could well suit many matches Juve have played this season. Expecting him to be a well rounded player is something I don't.

I agree with all this, it's just strange that he's playing for the NT like he did for Lazio, perhaps even better - and then looks like a spastic farm animal at City. If we were to look past Kolarov, who do you think is a realistic alternative for the pending LB signing this summer?

Fuck Rossi. We need a caliber player; Rossi isn't it. I'd be fucking devastated if that turd was our star signing.

I'd rather we go all out for Jojo/Higuain, and complement them with a Ramirez/Shaqiri/Gotze, recall Gio, and get a CM backup. I think with the CL, that is very much possible.
It's been a while since this :touched:

I don't get this, most of the time he's hitting the ball with power into the box or at goal, it doesn't require intelligence. Defensively he's not very good either and he costs a lot.

I would take G.Rossi for 15 mln E but,if only we sign real great striker .
i think rossi closes the oportunity for a great striker , personally i would get him if we spend most of our money for the wing and go for a cheaper striker , althrough i would still try for torres , he wouldn't be that expensive in my opinion

if we don't buy a top wing than i wouldn't go for rossi as a striker , i would choose someone better
