And given that its Marrotta, theres no prizes for guessing that we will start negotiating for Higuain in June, and present one of Rossi and Ramirez in August as the marquee signing. For me personally, I don't think that would be enough for Europe, although it would be great depth for Italy and the Coppa. And maybe even the Europa if we crash early. In an ideal scenario, we need Kolarov, Nainggolan, Benzema AND Ramirez who may not come if the club recalls Giovinco.

How do you calculate this? Lichsteiner is defensively more aware, and worse with delivery. He has been just so awful for City in terms of his spacial and defensive awareness and decision making that I can't be enthusiastic about this move. Yet, I don't see many great alternatives.

kolarov is better in offense than lischt in my opinion , but much worse on defense

Because he transforms on his national team, and turns out a lot better than what one sees off him as part of Mancini's team. I think he's very intelligent on the ball, and his strength would add to the physical calibre of this side. I think his attacking prowess would add a lot to Conte's vision too. Cissokho is another alternative who is a better player defensively, but you can tell by his time at Lyon, he's dumb and error prone, though he too could do well with the right guidance.
