I'd rather give Iaquinta a chance than signing Borriello. Look where we're swinging from the summer mercato... After being linked to Aguero and very close to Rossi we ended up with Vucinic. Now, we're not prepared to extend our Captain's contract, we still have Amauri in the team who earns 4M/ year more than what Higuain and Di Maria earn...Now we're getting Borriello. WOW! :/

4m/year. Di Maria is earning 1.8 M/year. Higuain is earning 3.5 M/year. In Spain, the taxes have increased to 43% so Di Maria wants an increased pay, same as Higuain. Taxes havent increased in Italy and Amauri still earns about 4M/year. :frown:

It's not like Marotta was the man who done the deal for Amauri...so we cant blame him and its not like any other club would take this player on and pay him those kind of wages. But i get what you mean....when you think about some of the wages given to players who dont get any minutes of football at all right now and add them together, we'll be able to have another 2 or 3 class players. Amauri, toni, IQ, Krasic...bringing in Boriello without offloading at least 2 of those players would seem ludicrus. Especially considering Borielloisnt a level above anything we have right now.

Hopefully Krasic to Chelski for 15+millions!

.
is that the rumoured fee? i wouldnt mind that, may as well get our money back and try to lure someone else in the summer. i watched the Udinese game again this morning and couldnt help but see how much we can struggle in that final third in the creativity department.

has been out of form and not played for a fair while now, if 15 million was offered the club should jump at that. i reckon it will be 10 mill...maybe we can lure a chelsea player our way.

It's not about how much he earns primarily. It is about credibility. He was supposed to be sold last Jan, he was offloaded on loan then. In the summer, he had to go which dint happen. I dont understand the reason behind Alex's certain departure. I cant stand the fact that Amauri is still at the club with zero talent earning loads while Alex is being offloaded even after he took a pay cut, although he has loads of talent.

Marotta is completely unreliable. He has assured zero credibility. After being linked to Aguero and Rossi we bagged Vucinic. There goes the credibility. After assuring defenders like Bruno Alves and Lugano, we ended up trusting Bonucci and playing Chiellini on the left. There goes the credibility.

Shouldn't it be the media, who linked them with us, who lost credibility? :p

It's not like he's promising that we'll get him, it just means that he was looking for players with similar quality which is actually what we get with Vidal, Pirlo, and Lichsteiner. No credibility lost for that. He did say that it'll be hard to get him in a longer interview afterwards.

The Juventus management post Calciopoli is the worst I have ever come across. Ziegler was unnecessarily shipped off without given a chance. It was Marotta's signing and not Conte's. There was a huge communication gap. Pirlo was supposedly not going start as well, but he is playing at a very top level.

Marotta claimed that he is going to get us one star forward in the summer. Pepe and Motta were made permanent. Rossi was very close but we couldnt agree with Villareal on terms since we were paying a comparitively low amount. Aguero was linked heavily before this and he moved to Man City since we werent concrete enough in our offer. Worldclass players wont come in cheap, Marotta needs to understand that. He is got to spend when we have the money. Imagine we still had Moggi. :gsol:
