I don’t see Conte benching Vucinic, Matri or Pepe, also having Quagiarella on the bench. It’s early to predict, anyone of them could amaurize. However, I see an addition unlikely.

Yeah if Cissokho is on the market why are we bothering about Caceres at all? Or Alex for that matter?
Cissokho covers the LB, as a starter and then you have more than enought CBs to get us through the rest of the season. Afterwards we can evaluate and eventually buy a top class CB (ex. Hummels) or nothing, if we feel like Bonucci is getting better and Sorensen starts to step up his game. He hasn't been given even a single game yet, hopefully Conte is working with him intensely.
Yeah an utility RB that can play LB would be great, but unless we get rid of Motta and are completely certain sorensen shouldn't be given a minute - its kind of pointless.
Anyway imho getting rid of quantity and going for quality must be the basics of our mercatos for at least 2-3 transfer windows.

I mean when he has played, he has looked far from convincing. Perhaps he isn't comfortable with the setup @ Chelsea now that AVB is in charge; coupled with his injuries, I think we are better off going after someone else.

Its fair enough to praise Barzagli for his brilliant form in the first half of the season, but to suggest that Chiellini, as a CB, is 1/5 of Barzagli, is madness. His tackling is up there with the world class defenders, and if we put him for sale, i have no doubts that the biggest teams in the world would chase his signature. He has also done rather well as our left back, even with those legs you keep referring to. And how you can suggest that Bonucci is a better CB than cheillini now, is beyond me, given that Chiellini has been playing LB for many games now. NOT because he was so poor at CB, not in the slightest, but because he is a much stronger LB than de ceglie, and also, Bonucci merited the chance to prove himself and be relied upon the middle.

chiellini is a good marker one of the best out there and a good tackler but the most important thing about being a cb is positioning go look at nesta he is 35 has not chiellini physique and is much slower and still is a word class cb chiellini is not good at positioning many times he does errors

and chiellini being in lb position is not only because de ceglie is horryfying but also because of the type of game we play
and here we come at chiellinis legs again in conte's phylosophy be it 424 442 or 433 you never clear the ball even in defense do not give the ball invain the game starts always from the keeper as we have seen buffon many times when a lot of keepers would clear the ball pass it to the defenders and the game starts from the keeper then the defenders and bonucci at center gives a lot more to the game than chiellini when chiellini is in center he will always give the ball to pirlo but all the teams know pirlo and what he does so they mark him and with bonucci at center we have another source of play
