I personally don't believe Borriello will join us.
Borriello can play the role of a targetman unlike Matri. A good target man will possess the strength to hold up the ball, hold off opponents and bring teammates into play. Target men are often tall, physical players who operate with their back to goal. Besides it could be an answer to Bonucci's longballs :D

I could see it happening and it wouldn't be too bad but I see no reason to sign Borriello in January, when we need a LB more than anything.

Seems we're leaning towards that way, and it makes sense especially when you watch the Novara match and how many chances we waste, it's clear our system is creative enough, just not clinical enough yet.
yeah wel

that and matri beeing rotated and vucinic injured, by a mile our most important two forwards

Getting rid of Amauri, Iaquinta, Esti and Toni and bringing in Boriello is an okay deal. I'd much prefer Berbatov over Boriello, but he isn't a bad player by any means and could be a worthwhile investment.

berbatov is like a poor man's ibra, his first touch is absolutely world class at times though
Berbatov got way better technique than Ibra, just not the goalscoring rate. I'd like to see Berba get a good amount of time on the pitch and see if he would step up a bit. He isn't the same player in UNited as he was for Tottenham
