That would be the opposite of perfect.
Cheap and reliable player especially in this circumstances. Better to have Abidal now, and in the summer invest in some good LB, then have some 7-8 milion LB now who would later turn out to be average.

Anyway, Abidal ain`t gonna swap Barca for Juve.

At least not in this transfer window :)

Abidal wouldv'e been perfect 4/5 years ago, he's still a good player tough.

Yes a few years ago it would be an ideal move even if he is a good player Abidal would just be a bandaid fix, and honestly I don't he's even worth going for right now. Hopefully our back line can hold up until we can find a proper LB.

We sure do

Imagine this

Remy - Jovetic - Vucinic
Matri
I actually can see Marchisio and Vidal working well in there. Since there's so much creativity up front we wouldn't need a Pirlo replacement but we could always play Pirlo to change it up on occasion.

Does anyone know some young stars that can adequately replace Pirlo in a couple of years?
I like Eriksen but he plays a more advanced role. I think he could adapt well to a deeper role though. I'm not sure about Cigarini, let's see how he does till the end of this season.

We don't have to replace him per se. We can get someone who operates higher up the field, like Silva, or get some great wingers and go back to Conte's regular 4-2-4. There's a lot of options, the team should suit to whatever players we have available.

Watch for Benito Viola of Reggina. I'm not saying he'll replace Pirlo. Just that he's a guy we'll hear more from sooner or later.
