Think I read it was worse in the northern part? Anyway, stay safe
The North is better now; the water is actually flowing from North to South, Into the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok, and then into the sea. The problem is, traditionally, this is the season for high tides, which means the government can't just pump the water or allow it to flow into the sea just yet. Essentially, this was all avoidable, had some goofball government official allowed the water to flow as early as September. We would've had minor flooding issues, and this whole thing would've been solved. The problem is he allowed the reservoirs to fill up to the brim, until there was no option but to open the levees and let all the water run out at the same time, causing this massive shit storm!
Most of the good beaches are in the South anyway

I shall try my best to stay dry
