I see LB as bigger issue than CB. At least we have options on CB position in Chielini, Barzagli, Bonucci, but on LB we lack options. De Ceglie is unreliable, Chiellini can play there only in emergency, can't push forward enough, poor crosses...

Barzagli, since he came was always solid for us at the back. I remember him while he played for Palermo, very talented and he played for NT also at that time. For last 8 months Barzagli was our most reliable defender.

Young and quite calm for his age.

Wonderful instinct and reading of the game. Puts in good tackles too.

Peelan are also after him.

I can only say that its quite odd that he still plays for Caglari. I would be very happy if we signed him this summer.

I'm not saying that he is better but Chiellini made too many mistakes lately, remember Bologna's goal and I think Portanova out jumping Chiellini and couple of other times, or Catania's goal. Last year there were many games where Chiellini was cought out of position, out jumped... But again LB is the real issue.

Is Vidal the new punching bag for the Marchisio fans? Good for us that Vidal has the potential to be one of the best box to box midfielders in the world then.

Vidal is an excellent player, he covers plenty of field, wins lots of balls, good passing skill ability, and very good attitude on and off the pitch. One of the best Marotta's purchases so far. With him, Pirlo and Marchisio we probably have the best midfield in Serie A.

Diego Contento and Cissokho are latest candidates for LB position. Cisokho would be good option for us and definite upgrade.
