Although I have never seen Rhodolfo if he is as good as they say then that is significantly better than what we have currently.

Contento isn't part of their plan. Badstuber is the first choice on LB so I don't think they would refuse some money for him. But he wouldn't be my choice. I prefer Kolarov and Cissokho.

You are right about price part but still he was very good in Italy, and to be honest he would be better than any of our left back's since Zambrotta's time.

for the value he posses he wouldnt be that much better. just a small upgrade to molinaro, kolarov can make the off ball runs, but he cant cross nor defend well neither.

Don't agree there. Licht on the right doen't have perfect cross but that doesn't make him just barely better than Motta. He's comfortable on the ball, good runs, good cross (better than PDC anyway) and if Marotta can seal the deal for 10-15M it would be good. As for defensive part, have you seen PDC reaction against Bologna, or Parma or Udinese in 2009/10, and I can find plenty more? Kolarov can react better than that. I'm not saying it has to be Kolarov, I would be happy if some other quality LB comes because we really failed to close that gap. So this Ansaldi guy, I've heared that he can play both RB,LB, so what are his qualities beside that because apart from Italian, Spanish and some games in EPL league I can't find time to watch other leagues that carefully.

I don't know what player you've been watching. Did you watch the international game yesterday? He was a beast. He can shoot, cross, dribble and defend. Even though I'll agree that of all these things, defending is probably his least good attribute.

im not talking nor defending for paolo de ceglie, so dont put words into my mouth, what im saying is there are better players than kolarov who offer a more all round, especially defensively which licht does, kolarov doesn't, that is why ansaldi is a much better solution to our left back problem, he is a no nonsense tackler defensively and go forward he is very good, tbh going forward id say he is better than kolarov, if you watched how ansaldi tamed messi in the CL not too long ago that is a indication of some of his defensive qualities.

oh wow he did that in 1 near meaningless international game, have you seen him for city? the guy is so overhyped, people live in the memories of his lazio days still, and even then defensively he wasn't that great, lazio did well to get that much for him and invest it in a far better player in radu, who i admire too.

I'm just saying that he would be huge improvement over PDC and Molinaro. Are there better LB's? Of course, but he would be very good adition. As far as his form goes, not every player can succeed in completely different environment and there are plenty of good examples for it.
