Well, Marotta's third choices and last-ditch, band-aid solutions worked out the best from last season's crop of transfers.

So should we rely on that for the rest of his time here? Honestly, he needs to start by shutting up about who he wants and what profile players we are looking at. He might come off looking less incompetent.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!

We can debate about his competency as much as we like....but his PR is disasterous.

After we ended last season and you were asleep and woke up today to find out that we got Pirlo on a free, Lichsteiner for 10m, Vidal for 13m, Vucinic for 15m.....you wouldn't say it was a disasterous mercato. But if you thought we were actually going to get players like Aguero, Vidic and Nani......then yes different story.

I think the problem is Tuttosport. For some reason they write 90% of their articles about Juventus and they link us to EVERY player under the sun.

I never took Marotta's claims too seriously but i suppose when your in a bad position, you need to believe.
That Galliani's been claiming every top player in Europe (Fabregas, Shwein, etc) and all they got was our reject Aquilani.

Galliani never claimed anything when he got Ibra and Robinho. Pls don't compare the two, he's very efficiently slotted in to Moggi's shoes. He's the next best thing to big Luciano.

This mercato isn't very bad, with Pirlo for free, Pazienza (good back-up!) for free and Vidal. My biggest doubt is Vucinic. 15 million for Vucinic is much, because we didn't need him. We have a good Quagliarella and Matri.

My biggest regret of this mercato is we didn't go for Giuseppe Rossi. He could have played on the left like the '90 Del Piero role. A regret we didn't pay the 8 million more for him, but instead go for Vucinic.

8mln more? They didn't want to sell at all, and the asking price was belived to be aroud 30-35mln.

So much ejaculation right now. Please Marotta! I'm gonna say it but I've always wanted this guy more than Aguero. Not that Bastos is better or would have more of an effect, he's just one of my favourite non-italian or juve players.
