Roma don't look too good to me, Udinese has offloaded their best players, Inter is gay and are going through a transitional period with acquiring Gasperini and maybe offloading Eto'o. Meelan are a solid team, Napoli are a solid team.

As Red said, Alex never had the chance to show if he is a leader or not because he had Terry and Carvalho, he may not be the fastest defender out there but he is a lot better than Lugano who isn't fast either.
