All this in the wishlist thread.
We have been linked with unrealistic players, but going back in time, is definately unrealistic.

Every time has its stars, Pele, Maradona, Zizou, Ronaldo, DP, Nedved, C. Ronaldo, Messi, that is one of the charmes of the game.
In my opinion, it is useless to compare them, times change, the game changes, it just can't be compared.

Thats ridiculous.

Its fair enough to suggest that the game has changed, because it has.

You think players like Cruyff, rijkaard, gullit, baresi, maldini, zico, mara-fucking-dona, hugo sanchez, di stefano, puskas, hagi, stoichkov, romario, roberto baggio, bobby moore, peter shmeichel, lev yashin, socrates, garrincha, peter fucking pele, klinsmann, koeman, beckenbauer, matthaus, effenberg, kempes, passarella, sivori, platini, cafu, roberto carlos, b. charlton, georgey best, keegan, dalglish, cantona, neeskens, van basten, eusebio...are 'surpassed' by the generation of the Now and near Now??? Not a chance.

There have always been and there always will be some wonderful football players. By now, with less war, better facilities, better training methods, better health care, and much more $ in the game than ever before, true, the standard of football should have increased, at the top and bottom of the game. but i don't see any obvious difference between the stars of today and the stars of the 50s or 60s or 80s or 90s...true greats are true greats, regardless of the era. And having been watching football for 20 years, i notice zero upsurge in the standard of the best of the best players.
Excellent post. Well said

Well said. I bet a lot of these people criticising me werent alive/didnt watch football in the late 80s to late 90s and wouldnt remember seeing a lot of the awesome players who played back then. To say guys like fucking Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Van Persie, Nuri Sahin are better than the players I mentioned is fucking ridiculous. The players are better athletes these days, but not better footballers.
I more or less agree with that

Perhaps this is the move referred to by Agnelli, that would count on certain transfers being made by Barcelona? Fabregas in, Mascherano out?

Why would La Stampa make it up? Seems like a more serious paper? I could be wrong though. It would be a sweet move.

May I ask does he have a euro pass? Even without Pirlo that midfield is strong.

I think he has an Italian passport

Mascherano was so close to us in 2007..i was fapping then at the thought of him and Tevez coming to Juve

Wed be in a completely different standing now for sure

That is a interesting article and yes its hard to predict if this is all gossip because La Stampa is a more business type newpaper. Seems to good to be true but again if Mascherano were to come what was the point buying Vidal? hes a waste of a good player to put him on the wing and Im pretty damn sure Pirlo made sure he wasnt coming to Juve to sit on the bench.

damn, Mascherano is perfect, but he is very useful for Barcelona, last season he played so many games as CB when they had some sort of injury crisis in defense... I doubt Barca would let him go, even if they now have Cesc in midfield, and what about the player himself, he was so disappointed when his transfer to Juve some years ago collapsed, but now is he willing to leave the Kings of Europe for Out-of-Europe Juve?!

I agree I cant see Barca letting him go since their cover in the CB position to pretty thin and with Puyol coming to an end in his career with constant injuries and such i cant see it happening atleast not on the the cheaper side of 20m. Mascherano is probably not happy playing CB but is a professional so hes doing it and he might want to come to Juve because either hes been talking with people connected with Juve and likes whats going on or he just may like the club in general. Who knows but either way we're linked with another player.
