Barca yesterday stated that the signing of Fabregas wouldn't be the last transfer they'd do.
Since their midfield and attack is complete, I guess they were talking about defence.
So maybe, just maybe they will let Mascherano go and sign a "real" CB instead of a modified DM.
Let's hope this could happen, would be so great

myself raw at the thought of Mascherano coming. Maybe loan to buy? But honestly it's more likely that Hazard or Ribery will come. Guardiola has been playing him too much as CB to let him go. Unless Barca buy a top CB I can't see him leaving. Keita will leave before Mascherano will. We would be unstoppable if we bought Mascherano and Alex.Buffon

I can think of a few things what Agnelli's words about Barca could be about.
1. Sanchez, eg. if they buy him we will focus on Aguero, Rossi or someone else
I'd say Conte would have loved to have had Sanchez and probably wanted him more than Aguero (if he wanted him at all). But obviously Sanchez wanted Barca.2. If Sanchez arrives at Barca we could try for Bojan
or maybe Pedro.3. If Barca buy any players (which they would) we could try for Afellay because he plays wing and midfield and they would be both crowded with more players
4. If another midfielder comes we could try for Keita.
5. Maybe he thinks Barca are the standard to gauge how prices are.
6. Barca could have been the team to start off the big transfers?
7. Mascherano? With Fabregas arriving they would have an overcrowded midfield.
Tell me if I've missed anything.
If this has truth in this and we wont know until Marotta says something like yes his agent has contacted me or something along the lines but again if there is truth to it Marotta should go at this transfer full steam because lets be honest I dont think we'll sign a LW atleast not one better then Pasquato so I hope Conte decides to scrap the 4-2-4/4-4-2 idea and try and get mascherano and do a 4-3-3.
Barca bought him for around €20M I think. Even though Barca are in massive debt I can't see him leaving for less than €25-30m. Maybe Marotta will just buy him and he will be used as CB and DM? Although Alex/Lugano + Mascherano =

i dont think it matters because Barca if you really pay attention to there style of play dont play with out and out CB. Pique is great with his feet comes up in the play alot and starts alot of plays from the back. Puyol if you noticed has been playing less and less even when healthy because mascherano can not only defend but join the play aswell. They even did it with Yaya. I dont think they'll be looking for a CB but another DM/Defender. Anyone who is confident on the ball can make and receive passes from the back with defensive qualities will be looked at. PLus unlike Juve Barca can look at almost any player in the world and if they show interest pretty good chance that player will want to jump ship.
But with that said unless mascherano actually has told Pep I dont want to play CB anymore I cant see Barca letting him go just to look for someone better because tbh there isnt many that are better.
