Real Madrid made a profit of 45m Euros last year. They can spend what they want because they make profit. This is what Juventus must aim for.

If FFP is properly put into place, it will affect clubs whose owners put money into the club to buy players. Clubs such as Manchester City (Sheikh Mansour), Chelsea (Roman Abramovich), Inter Milan (Moratti), AC Milan (Berlusconi), Roma (??), PSG (new Qatar owner), Malaga (Sheikh Al Thani).

Will it get put into place properly? Nobody knows. :)

Look at Inter

I would suggest that there'd be loopholes galore for teams like RM and MShitty to take advantage of.
Yup pretty sure it won't be a black and white deal. Which is why I get upset when people think FFP will help Juve. It may slightly but shouldn't bank on those things.

This is simply not true.

Five FFPs programs couldn't deal with Real Madrid alone. City already "fooled" that system. I don't have many doubts that Chelsea and the likes can easily follow City against that "financial fair play program". Those rich clubs appeared in the worst time Juve could ever tought about it.
This is absolutely true..

Is that really truly the truth though? How can a team that consistently spends in the millions each year acquiring players without winning the CL & La Liga (in this case) consistently make a profit?

I was watching a SKY documentary on Zidane the other day (made after WC '10). They mentioned how Zidane's gigantic transfer fee compared with how much the team gained sporting wise, ergo financially, didn't add up. The team suffered losses which eventually led to the end of the Galacticos era. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was only about 5 years ago? Since then they've started a new Galacticos era. So I don't believe that they genuinely finished with a 45m profit.

Jorge Andrade was a beast in his prime. Simply the best partner I've seen with Carvalho.

The Bankia group of savings banks needs money desperately and has asked the European Central Bank for a loan. Well, the ECB doesn’t hand off cash to just anyone, so it asked for some guarantees. Bankia offered up Ronaldo and the Brazilian player Kaká, otherwise known as Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite.

Where does Bankia get the right to do this? Back when Real Madrid was recruiting the Portuguese Ronaldo, it turned to Bankia to finance the acquisition. Bankia lent the club 76.5 million euros, which helped it get the 100 million euros it needed for Ronaldo and the 60 million for Kaká.
:lol2: :lol2:

That is so pathetic. That is NOT the way you ought to run a business.

Finance Minister Elena Salgado expressed her concern that Caja Madrid had managed to lend €76.5 million to Los Merengues at such a delicate time.Banco Santander have also agreed to loan Madrid a similar quantity and that is reported to have allowed the club to make their huge offers for Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"It surprises me, and what I would ask banks is that: if they have liquidity, that they also make loans to small and medium-size companies and families," Salgado is quoted as saying by USA Today.

"I would ask that they make an effort for them."

The minister also put her message across without saying too much when she was asked for her thoughts on the €94 million outlay to sign Ronaldo from Manchester United.

"It goes beyond the dimensions of what I would have imagined," she added.
Their is nothing ethical about their dealings either. And people envy Real Madrid's dealings :disagree:

Fuck these big spenders.

There is no reason for financial organizations to lie about a club's finances. Only football fans will twist and turn financial information or any information to suit their ends, right? :)

Lets look at 2010/11 for example. Last season, this is probably how Madrid's finances played out:

Earned Revenue: €440m
Player Wages: €180m (est)
----------------------------
Balance left: €260m
Other Expenses: €100m (est)
----------------------------
Profit before transfers: €160m

This €160m which is left can be spent by Madrid on transfers or on repaying the club's debt.

In the 3 years that Florentino Perez returned to Madrid, the club has a net spend of approximately €300m on transfers. In that same time, the club has earned €440m + €400m + €380m = €1.2 billion. Go figure.
