We litterally went for Aguero, and were willing to invest a minimum of 30m, that was obvious. It didnt happen because Aguero went for a more ambitious club/more ambitious league. There is nothing to wake up from regarding that.

That we arent trying to invest that big of a sum on someone else, is obviously because they were earmarking those kinda sums for player of Aguero's caliber, or just him really.

Dzeko, we simply chose Krasic over him, that too was fairly obvious.
I wouldnt be surprised if we sign your avatar after the CL qualifiers are over, at the end of the mercato, for around 20 mil

Well, perhaps you should wait till the mercato is over before asking where the reminder of the money is

licht was one of the best 3 rightbacks in serie a. for juve, he was probably the best

vidal was the best CM from the bundesliga, bayeren was butthurt that we stole him, means he was pretty high regarded.

vucinic will prove himself.

Not sure why you call them average. probably because your brain is average so it cant understand we have no chance to sign world class[/QUOTE]

Those players you mentioned are above average but way below world class

The mentality highlighted in bold is exactly why we won't sign world-class - we give up on ourselves before others do - we doom ourselves to failure before the fact.

Vidal is on his way to world class, there are very good midfielders in germany, and he was the best of them all last season. he can become world class

i never said lichtsteiner is world class, i said he was one of the best 3 rightbacks in italy. only maicon is worldclass

we havent given up, we wanted a world class SS. when it became clear we couldnt get aguero, we looked at promising players for great deals.
we were never going to get a world class player for any position besides SS.

:D

I still think we're looking to add a top player. I would not rule out Rossi coming or Higuain to be fair(Depending on who Real sign mind you)
After the wastefull display in the supercup final, i'm pretty convinced mourinho noticed the lack of finishing. in form higuain is a formidable poacher, he'll need him.

but i agree that we will likely add a top ss. unless there really isnt any for the right price

Great game by Aguero. The discussion around here is pointless IMO, we never had a chance of signing him, regardless of the money Man City is currently the more attractive club, playing in the EPL and in CL, add the money on top of that and we really had no chance. He was probably using us to get more from Man City and fair play to him for that.

Marotta did look naive tho for promising such a player. He got played.

Yeah that is what make me angry , why the hell you promisse player when u have 0 chances to sign him !
He promissed player like Aguero , but till now i can't see anyone in our team who is close to Aguero .
I blame him talking into media for him , he made me to belive we really will get him :sergio:

People saying stop the Marotta bashing are clearly forgetting the days when we had players such as Zidane, Canna, Thuram, Nedved, Trez, Camo etc.. That's the level we have to return to.. And by not pushing for this kind of deal (Aguero) we wont return to the glory ever. And please stop saying "we have no money"!!!
Since 2006 till now this club have wasted around 260 millions on players that we've brought. Imagine what kind of a team we could've created with that kind of money ?!

We keep saying we don't have money yet we've wasted that money on the likes of amauri, martinez, almiron...

Its not money what we lack, its the brains behind that money that doesn't exist in this club.

We wont, LW and CB, and non of them will be a suprise. We will end this mercato without a real top signing. Lets not delude ourselves more then we have already.
I'm actually getting to the point I don't think we'll get both of those positions

It's wonderful and he's wonderful if you hold humanity to such a low standard.
