that would probably the only way for you guys to go for another striker. There seems to be a whif in the air of you going for Rossi after the CL play offs, I guess provided that you let Quag go (deal with Vargas).

I wouldn't be surprised if instead of Rossi, you go for one of the RM reject strikers - Higuain seems more likely to be let go, since Benzema has been doing great this summer (and 2nd part of last season) - if they get Adebayor from Man City, as is the rumour ... and they are also supposedly looking to bring in Falcao too but that could be put off for the winter or even next summer.

Hysén is avarage. Might do well in Serie-A but in a smaller club. If we'd compare him to any of our current players I'd say Matri is the one he's most similar to and although I don't rate Matri particularly highly I still say Matri > Hysén.

If we buy a LW and a CB, then Marotta can pay 40m for Rossi if he wants. Buying Rossi for big money was gonna be bad if that meant that we won't buy players for the positions we need. As a cherry on the top, I'd even welcome him.

They seem to have a sweet tooth for Tevez and will not buy more than one big-name player otherwise why sell a player like Eto'o - and as it seems Sneijder too - in the first place. Why spend big transfers fees and high salaries for players who cannot measure up to the ones leaving anyway?

Still, you guys getting a big-money signing in place of Quag is more of a speculation floating around than something concrete.
