Lugano,Vargas,Vucinic and its over.overall it's a good mercato
we'll attract world class players as soon as we reach CL

next thing we should do is to get rid of Grygera,Grosso,Martinez,Amauri,Iaquinta....and please,no loans with option to buy

Will I be the only one disappointed with this mercato if we end up with Vucinic, Bastos and Lugano to close it?
I would say that its a disappointment, though with the new stadium,I kinda expected a superstar, yes the likes of Kunt,Mata,Nani, but hey theres still time, and Zidane talking more about Hazard to Juve, who knows, maybe Hazard could be the closing of this mercato.

Hazard,Vucinic and Lugano certainly is great!

@de_ledgaun: Well yea, what I mean is, we weren't the ones getting our hopes up. It's the board thats been talking big. And if they deliver those three by the end of it, then I'd say it's a par mercato. Nothing to write home about, we'll still be behind Inter, Milan, perhaps Napoli, Lazio and on par with Roma. Realistically, I'd expect fourth place for this team, assuming we'll be more consistent this term, and Napoli, and Lazio, less so. But whatever. I said it before and I'll say it again, I'd take Cassano over Vucinic and Rossi. Maybe, even bring Diego back on a free, to feel more confident about our attacking options which I think are good at the moment, but susceptible for an injury ravaged team.

The LB maybe overlooked this mercato and could be considered for next season. Coates is someone I'd look at, while maybe getting rid of Barzagli/ Bonnucci since Lugano is only a stop gap solution. I still think we need another DM, 424 or not. My mercato would be something like this as things stand: Cassano/Diego, Coates, Mata, Lugano, Caceres as backup RB since I don't see Motta stay either. It wouldn't cost more than what we're spending currently. The DM is still a missing piece and Diarra looks unlikely, while selling Melo looks more and more likely to be a mistake.

the nice is about having vucinic, vargas and lugano here is that you add matri, vidal and cheillini, and you have yourself a very strong physcial, and fit first team.

this could be a hughe advantage for us in bullying other teams around d if we play our cards right.

We don't know how to use our money wisely Lion. Its a matter of priorities. If we're looking at attack, then we should look for someone on the cheap considering our options, and there are two quality options in Cassano and Diego. On the wing, we're willing to pay 15m for Vargas and Bastos, but not Mata who is a step above both, with a negligible difference in price, if any. Same goes for the d. I like Lugano as a signing, but its a mere stop gap. And we're going to be in this very position in a couple of years, by which time Coates maybe worth 15m. Better to close that deal now. I agree about the physicality of the team. However, a lot of us maybe wrong in believing Vucinic is coming here at the expense of Rossi. I'm going to have to say, I unfortunately believe hes going to be blocking Bastos or Vargas instead with Rossi coming on the last day of the mercato.

And that to me, is going to leave us with some work to do in the next mercato as well, which shouldn't have been the case with this cash injection.

i agree with you now that you put it that away. you are right, the board does not spend money wisely.

Cheers :)

I just wish we knew how to prioritise. Unfortunately, we don't have the liberty of revolutionising our team every year. And with us having to finish 3rd, the guys bought this year are going to have to click instantly, and I see that happen, when htey are of a certain standard and their expertise is used in their natural positions.

we have a team able to beat anyone in serie a, no question, but i still dont think we have a team able to reach 75 or 80 points. 3rd place looks reasonable...unfortunately
