What a joke that Germany gets 4 places in the CL.

Look I dont doubt that the Italian league has declined and us as well as the other Italian teams should have performed better in the EL, but we have been better than Germany in the past decade in the CL.

Sorry to go off topic.
Yeah I think it's wrong that it's been decided from a purely statisitcal point of view (EL & CL). But I reckon we'll have the 4 places back soon and MAYBE even over take Spain in the next 3+ years as a lot of Serie A teams seem to be getting stronger. Napoli, Lazio, Udinese, Roma, Inter, AC & Juve are all fairly strong teams and I hope they all get better (except merda - Serie C1 please!). I think Genoa and Fiorentina especially have the ability to challenge for 5-7th spots and really should be doing so. The more competitive Serie A is the better the teams will be and that therefore should yield better results in Europe. It's a shame about Samp as they were playing in CL and then were relegated.

If Samp weren't relegated and still strong and Genoa & Fiorentina were playing better, that would have been 10 teams fighting for european places this season. Definitely more than Spain - Real, Barca, Villareal, Valencia & Sevilla, Atletico are really the ones capable of winning things in Europe. That's 5 teams, compared to Italy's 7-8+, although having the strongest and third strongest teams in Europe will help La Liga a lot especially as they are able to win the CL and that will probably keep us as the 3rd strongest league. I can't see any German teams winning EL or CL. All Bundesliga teams besides Bayern can't and won't be able to win the CL (Schalke won't ever get to the semis again). The teams from fifth onwards I'm assuming will be too weak to win the EL. We have three (maybe more) teams capable of winning the CL: Milan, Juve (in time :D) and merda (through cheating). As long as Serie A teams try harder in EL we will have the four places back.

Back to the topic at hand. :nico:

The germans deserved it.

On the other hand, italian clubs sucked big time in europe. Other than Milan (and a miracle one season for Inter) the rest were a joke.

Until Italian realise that 1-0 is not an acceptable grand strategy for contemporary European Football, Serie A will continue to fail.

Speed Fitness and Technical ability.

Serie A has technical ability, the other two, not so much. That's why we need non-italian players, because the italian mentality is retarded.

That's not what you do when you finish 7th twice in a row... :disagree:
I'd be very disappointed with such mercato.
What about Kun, Vidal, Bastos & a CB?

If you only knew how wrong you are.
At the moment the difference between Italy and the 5th place France is 5 pts. The difference between Italy and the 6th placed Portugal is 6pts. The difference though between Italy and Germany is 11 points.

And those are UEFA points where 1 point equals 3 wins and 1 draw so the 11 points difference between Italy and Germany is like 33 wins and 11 draws.

http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2012.html

And since the points from season 2007/08 won't count after 2 years, check how small the difference between Italy and France will become. There is a much bigger chance France to overtake Italy than Italy to regain the 3rd place.
In the next 3-4 years Italy will remain out of top 3 and won't have 4 CL places.

How about fuck Bastos and Vidal, and go for Modric.

Buffon
Licht - Bonucci - Chiellini - Ziegler
Melo - Modric - Marchisio
Krasic - Matri - Rossi

Licht 10M, Modric 40M, Rossi, 25M

That's 75M.

Licht 10M, Bastos 15M, Vidal 15M, Rossi 25M

That's 65M

However for 10M we could have one of the finest midfields in Europe, in addition to a decent backline and strong attack.
If you want to go that way How about fuck Modric too and go for Fabregas his price is about the same (I guess its around 45M-50M)

We should start taking the europa league seriously.
exactly, i was proberly few here dissapointed to see us out of europa but not only that but to see the kind of mentality we go in there with. portugues league can and may even take over the italian league. I find it amusing how people justified our line ups and attitude. the bottom line is italian clubs doing well in europe affects our club. the more the league continues to do shit in Ucl and europa the more our league would be fit to be compared to scottish leagues. decrased appeal with high profile players, sponsership, revenue its all related.
