Hello, will you give me Aguero?
This headline made me chuckle.

I can imagine Marotta, at AM HQ, the lights are all off, he's got his nose pressed up against the glass, cupping his eye(s) trying to see in.

Meanwhile Perez is laughing it up over lunch with Cerezo like "How long do you think he'll wait outside?"

Lippi:

"“A few years ago, as you all know, there was a conversation between myself and Juventus. Then it was said that a few subsequent decisions were taken under my direction. It suited people to say such things. I did suggest some players, but they were different names and one was actually Marek Hamsik. From then until now the player has gone on to the highest levels. He’s the kind of guy who works hard, goes up and down, and scores goals.”

FI

We should have done it back then

Nedved has also suggested Marek Hamsik. I'd love to see him here, but it won't happen.
Even worse, he'll go to Milan, maybe Inter.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but from Lippi's words it seems to me that he suggested Secco to get Hamsik, but his suggestion wasn't taken into consideration and we didn't even try.
If we tried and failed, it's fine. But if Nedved and Lippi tell you GET THIS GUY and you don't listen to them, then fuck you.

there are a lot of hamsiks out there alen
There aren't.

Fancy dribblers are easy on the eye and Hamsik isn't one. That's why a normal football follower will be attracted by some dribbler and will even wonder what's so special about Hamsik.
But boy how wrong will he be proven in the end.

There aren't many players who make the entire team play much better and on top of it they will score goals. I saw this quality in Hamsik long ago and obviously prominent football figures saw it too.
But guys like Nick kept creaming their pants about Zarate and Lanzafame :D

Nothing surprising there.I read an article sometime ago that said that we payed the same amount of money for wages last season that we payed during 2005-06.Football has become so expensive it's just hard to believe. When Angelo Ogbonna's asking price is 20m, you know something has gone very wrong.
