Sure Ribery would be "nice" but he's always injured. Why spend that much cash on someone who's able to play 10-15 games per year and on top of that hasn't really been that good since he raped that girl. Btw, how much lo stilo Juve is rapist-Ribery?

imo we shouldn't be shelling out the big bucks looking for a striker. Our first priority should be to shore up the defence (worldclass fullbacks & at least 1 central defender). Our midfield definitely needs some work as well. Pirlo is ok but not enough. Last year we had no options off the bench when we needed some someone to change the game....we definitely need more depth in midfield. Our strikers can score goals....they proved that last season. Count how many points we lost after we were 1 or 2 goals up...

Imo we're overrating our last year's attack. While the defense was definitely the worst part of the team and the part that needs to be improved the most, I don't think the attack was as good as we make it sound. It looks good only because the comparison with the defense makes it look good.
On 20 of the 38 matches in serie A we scored 0 or 1 goal. On 5 of the 6 EL matches we scored 0 or 1 goal. We had the 7th best attack in serie A. That's not really something to brag about. Milan, Inter, Napoli, Udinese, Roma and Palermo scored more than us.
Actually, we had the 7th best attack and the 8th best defense which more or less shows why we ended 7th in the league.

translated: we need aguero
Aguero or nor, we need someone who'll bang goals because for the second season running not a single one of our attackers scores 10 or more goals in serie A. To be fair, Quag and Matri playing only for a half season is the reason why none of our strikers scored more than 9 goals this year, while last year's attack really sucked, but it's still a shame that none of the Juve players hit double digit for the 2nd year running. Del Piero with 9 goals in 2009/10 and Matri/Quag with 9 goals last season were our top strikers in serie A. That's really something.

This season our 6 attackers (Quag, Matri, DP, Iaq, Toni and Amauri) scored only 32 goals while the rest of the team contributed with 25 goals. In comparison with Milan, where their attackers scored 48 goals, or Udinese, whose attack scored 48 goals too, while the midfielders and defenders of both these clubs scored only 17 goals, our attack seems really weak.

Edit: Heck, Cristiano Ronaldo alone scored 40 goals in the league, while our 6 attackers together scored 32. We desperately need a +20 goalscorer.

Matri did end up the season with a double digit goal figure, it's just that he only scored 9 goals while playing with us and you really can't blame him for it considering our shitty selves. Hell I see his 9 goals as an achievement looking into our team.

Juve: 'We'll sign a top striker'

Juventus chief Beppe Marotta insists they’ll “sign a top striker,” like Giuseppe Rossi or Sergio Aguero, but denied interest in Park Ji-Sung.
It was reported on Friday that the Bianconeri were making a bid for the Manchester United winger, whose contract expires next summer.

“No, we are not interested in Park,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“We will sign a quality player in attack, a top striker. We already have a world class addition to our midfield with Andrea Pirlo.

“He brings great quality as well as being an exemplary professional.”

Among the forwards linked to Juventus this summer are Atletico Madrid’s 'Kun’Aguero and Rossi of Villarreal.

“Both are talented and capable of making the difference,” continued Marotta.

“They do match up with the profile of the kind of player we are looking for.”

The Juventus general manager also denied reports Amauri was heading back to Palermo.
