with some better scouting they could have been bought for 500K Euros a piece in their early days.

useless rhetorical points you're making.
In early days they were worth even half of that, so why sign shit players. They had a good season and now they are saviors.

Matri for 17 :lol2: What a panic buy was that. Each goal he scored has increased his value for 1mln. And Pepe? Pepe for 10 mln is the stupidest shit ever.

4.5 for Quag
2.6 for Pepe
1.25 for Motta
Half of Ariaudo for Matri's loan

8.35m + half of Ariaudo for the loans
37.25 for the transfers

TOTAL = 45.6m + half of Ariaudo
Matri's original price was 18m with half of Ariaudo is set at 2.5. So that's basically 48 million deal. Damn!!!
The worst news of this summer is to see us signing up Pepe, now im praying that we somehow ship him off permanently is some kinda deal.
Any players included in those deals or is it a straight cash ?

Errr, no.

There was nothing that made Quagliarella a 15m euro or Matri a 18m euro striker when we brought them to Juve. With better negotiating or in some other circumstances (when we didn't have a Marotta for a GD) we could have bought them for 13m eur each, because that was their realistic price.
Quag was a bench player for Napoli when we bought him and Matri was a 26 year old with nothing else but a good half season in Cagliari. We overpaid for them, no doubt about it.

we were lacking a good all-round squad last year, some of the teamsheets we had were simply a bad joke.

they are adding to the overall depth of the squad, so no harm in that.

we are already trying to offload 8-9 players, you need to replenish as well.

Depth? FYI we are focusing on quantity and not on quality for over 5 years now.

Was there really no way of getting away with the Pepe and Motta transfers?
I hope they be sold, else it is just a waste of cash.
Quag and Matri ok, but those other two, :disagree:

I consider Pepe good enough to be a sub. The question is about the money but anyway it's not mine and I am relatively happy with 3 first transfers in the list. As for Motta, well, I hope Juventus can sell him to Russia, it would even be profitable :)
You got to be kidding me, when either Krasic or our new LW, gets injured, we will be in the same position as we are last season. What do you expect Pepe to from the bench, dribble pass the fullback and pull a perfect byline cross ??? He can run alot, with alot of heart but technically he not going to add anything.

Why are you guzs surprised, it was obvious from the beggining we didnt really loan them. Only Aquilanis loan was a real loan.
:agree: The same thing was for Milan and Ibrahimovic.

Maybe we agreed to buy Quag and in return Napoli will buy Amauri/Iaquinta from us, which would mean tha we lowered Quag's price :)

Also with Matri and Quag signed we are obviously going to sell Amauri and Iaquinta, especially if we are going to sign another forward (Aguero, Rossi, Vucinic). And this is a very bad business by Marotta, he already signed 3 strikers, possibly four (Toni, Matri, Quag, another st?) and we still need fullbacks and left winger. Left wing will become a real issue, even with signing of one winger we still won't have an adequate replacement in case of an injury.

I a season in which we don't play in Europe, having a great backup, only causes you troubles.
If Pepe is the backup for Krasic and (f.e.) Bastos, it will do, no need this season to splash the cash on another winger when we won't play that many matches.
Pepe can play left and right so he'll be sufficient.

Bastos's agent has confirmed that Lyon and Juve are negotiating, Vucinic's agent is also making noise.

so certainly they are looking for LW.
