Juve begin Quagliarella talks

Juventus will start talks with Napoli today in an attempt to agree a deal to complete the signing of Fabio Quagliarella.

The Old Lady will take full ownership of the striker this summer after netting him on loan at the start of the season.

Juve handed the Azzurri €4.5m for his services in the past campaign, with the understanding that he could be signed outright for a further €10.5m.

The Bianconeri are understood to be trying to offer Napoli the services of a player in order to avoid handing over just cash.

It is reported that Juve will try to tempt the Stadio San Paolo outfit to either accept Vincenzo Iaquinta or Amauri.

The latter has also been linked with a switch to Milan on Wednesday.

I just hope that when we sign (if we sign) Aguero Bastos and Lichtsteiner we are not done
I still think our defence is not good enough Ziegler might have been brought in and he certainly better than Grosso but he is not great and Bonucci is also far from being great
Given the fact we signed Ziegler I guess we won`t be after another LB BUT we could be going after a CB
I hope we get someone good to replace Bonucci in our lineup

Later they say "we don't have that much money" :touched:
With some better negotiating and in some other times players like Quag and Matri would have been bought for a combined price of 25-26m while players like Pepe and Motta wouldn't have been considered at all.
That means that we'll pay the remaining 20m euro for nothing.

And that money would guarantee us a quality left back and not mediocre Ziegler.

Our transfer policy is laughable. It was over the past 4-5 years too, but it's not better now.

So? He's not worth 15mln euros for doing that. His previous season were

Matri - 9 goals in 16 appearances, 0.56 goal ratio

Amauri - 11 goals in 17 appearances, 0.65 goal ratio

Give a good reason why you think it's a different case?
stats are just that. more needs ot be considered than just the figures.

But apart from motta they're all better than what we had before and on cheaper salaries than their predecessors. now we need to offload motta, amauri, iaquinta and save another 8,2m just in net wages plus some tranfers fees or exchange deals. could be worse.

with some better scouting they could have been bought for 500K Euros a piece in their early days.

useless rhetorical points you're making.

I consider Pepe good enough to be a sub. The question is about the money but anyway it's not mine and I am relatively happy with 3 first transfers in the list. As for Motta, well, I hope Juventus can sell him to Russia, it would even be profitable :)
