You can rotate the top 4 any way you want in this team. 442, 4231, 424... If we want to be on the defense we are taking out one of the top 4 and get Pirlo for a stronger mid.
For me Sanchez would flourish being free not exactly CM, but AM position. He would have both sides to roam and Aguero would play the old Alex position. He uses 'the hook' (inside dribble) very, very effectively. Krasic would be the one with the most defensive responsibilities, as he is effectively to run the channel, not roam around, and get back. But I think that is his strength. More Camoranesi in his play and Nedved in his looks.

as far as i m concerned, we need a supporting striker and a finisher.
Since Treze left the only real finisher we got is Toni. I m still undecided about Matri, to me a finisher must be first and foremost prolific, not creative and the SS should compensate by adding the creativity.
Amauri, DP, Giovinco, Iaq and Quaq are all foremost creative, they can create changes by themselves, but dont exceled at finishing (except Alex the great who is flawless all around)
Marotta has always repeated that we are buying quaq for sure and we want to keep Matri as well.
DP has extended, Toni has a fresh contract, Amauri is likely to get the boot, Giovinco is going to be sold off.
For 2 positions we have already 5 players and can recall at least 2 more, if anything, we are really stacked up as we are and the last concern of us should be SS, as besides Toni, all of our attackers can play this role and i dont see us booting all 4 of Amauri, Iaq, Quaq, Giovinco and Matri and even if we dont buy Matri, we would rather need a finisher then, not yet another SS
I believe than among depth players DP+Toni, we will keep at least one of Amauri, Giovinco, Iaq (for depth) and at least one of Matri or Quaq, so the last player we will ever need, is another SS, esp considering that creativity wont be such an issue in 4 man attacking line, winger will provide creativity and support and we will rely on our forwards to score those goals.
Already having DP and Quaq/Matri to provide support and create changes by themselves, we would rather need another goal scorer to ensure that Krasic/Pepe and Bastos/Martinez efforts are not wasted. And i dont believe that we can rely solely on Toni for that, neither at Matri's 1 goal / 2 matches ratio.
