My point exactly. Marchisio haters don't really have anything to support their "mis-guided" theories on how he has supposedly failed and this post proves it.
His supposed level of "greatness" that you claim is your own fabrication, Andy. I said he had great games but no where did I say he was at a level of "greatness".

He had some great matches, no doubt about that. But even when the team was shining he was usually only decent and one of those who always showed ways of his inconsistency, even in that period.
Yes, I think he had a couple of good matches over the past 3 fucking years. You said he was great, and I said he had some good matches, FYI that's totally different.
You want a good debate? Describe me at which aspect of football is Marchisio good? And put aside that he's tactically aware and well disciplined, or well composed. Tell me, what is good about him and how does he improve our team, by offering what?

More interesting would be someone that throws around these terms ad nauseam explaining, very thoroughly, what they mean by them. I'm really getting the impression that they're nothing more than "fallback categories" to praise considering other aspects of the guy's game aren't worthy enough. Plus, they're just vague enough to get away with most people overlooking...

In my opinion, it's a player that leads by example. When the team is mired in shit, he rises to the occasion and elevates his teammates, as well. He'll always, at minimum, be "the bright spot" in worst case scenarios that others look to. He's gotta do this day in, day out.
Del Piero and Buffon personify this.
