Zach, JJ posted a list of our expenditures in the past day or so, that included the loan redemptions from the deals struck last year (and did not include our most recent buys -Giac & Esti if true), and it was something like 76M spent, 14M earned from sales/loans. We have still spent a considerable amount of money, especially when you consider 3 of our new faces are Bosmans.

This is why teams hire coaches who are flexible enough to employ formations that largely complement the existing personnel, why it's important to allow youngsters to fill out a few roster spots, and why it's not a good idea to get rid of useful players for next to nothing.
transfer budged says little, its all about your wage budged in italy, and that is very low at current.
sure we can spend 70 mil in transfers, but get a quarter of the epl wage budged.

What a bunch of bullshit.

So you think that justifies filling the squad with random average players? Marotta didn't have any problems signing the Martinez's and Pepe's and certainly not for cheap. You know why? Because there wasn't any interest from any other clubs and could negotiate his pathetic terms with them.
Vidal was the bundesliga best CM, marotta got him from under bayeren's nose.
Vucinic, was 7 mil under the price roma wanted, on a relative low wage. he is class and quality, preseason proved this.
Lichtsteiner is the second best rightback in serie a.
Pirlo is allready proving to be vital for us.
quag proved himself before his injury
and matri had quite a nice scoring record and will surely score plenty as strikersub.

what average signings ?

if we now get one of alex/lugano/alves, we significantly increased every position apart from leftwing

and on that leftwing, we are looking to give promising players a chance

what average signings ?

It seems Zenit and us are pushing for an exchange between, Pepe, Bonucci and Alves + Cash.

Gazzetta said Spalletti and Marotta spoke last night and that all players involved are all prepared to move also.

deal seems to good to be true to me

is there an underlying condition why they want to get rid of alves ?

It's funny how you forgot to mention the signings of Pepe, Motta, Martinez last season, Giaccherini and supposedly this new guy from Paraguay.

Pepe, Motta and Martinez were jokes mainly for the prices paid.

Giaccherini and Extabfgdgfgffg we have to judge this season if they both join. Let's not forget 4 Million for both of them is hardly alot.

Yes.

Why do I have to judge Giaccherini this season when I know he already sucks? Your statement may be valid for the Paraguayan lad.

€4M + their wages + Martinez' wages + the fee of signing Extrabriiriaia permanently + maybe the other half of Giaccherini.

Just keep it 4 Million and their wages and Martinez's wages at the minute. Giaccherini is going to be earning just over a million a season, so that puts us up to 5 Million, Martinez earns 1.2 Million that puts us up to 6.2 Million and then Extrafggffggfgf wages are rumoured to be 500k so:

That puts us at 6 Million and 700k for two new players. Hardly breaking the bank is it?

Other half's and redemptions we can talk about later.

Not one of these guys is a world class game changer

Another €6.7M added to the total amount of money Marotta managed to waste during his Juventus spell.

Yeah, let's talk about them later and give Marotta another chance to prove himself with these signings yet again. Sounds like a plan.

No Lugano because Marotta wanted him for free if Fener got relegated and he does not want to pay the few Millions the club were asking for.

No Alex because Marotta stalled and probably Chelsea got fed up with him.

Which leaves us to another transfer, Malouda. IF there is any truth in that, Chelsea will not be ready to deal with Marotta after the Alex stinginess.

Nar, it's more fashionable to write off every new signing as a joke and slate Marotta these days.
Because that is what is actually happening. Every new signing IS a joke no matter how you look at them Giaccherini and Estegarribia and even Alvez. And Marotta deserves that for what he is doinig.
