I don't think it is finished, but I do think we'll try to get rid of some players first and then, depending on who we were able to sell (and thus what money we have), we will go for a big name LW (Nani f.e.) or we'll go for some smaller name (Vargas/Bastos). Also a CB might still be joining.

By the way, with Vidal, we only bought one none Eu player right?
So we still have room for one more?

Who else thinks our mercato, with the exception of sales, finished with Vucinic?
I think you guys getting a CB and a proper LW (not Vucinic) is a given.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if you go for another mid - which would give you more tactical flexibility - if the price is right.

I thought Vidal was EU ?
Vidal is non-EU, so you can get one more, under certain conditions that is.

Giuseppe The Savior Rossi: "La Juve?

Tuttojuve (original source is GdS)

Edit: Bah, it's easily understandable even for those who don't speak Italian, but here's the translation in any case:
"Juve? No, I don't think about it anymore. I'm fine in Villarreal and I'm happy to be in this club".

Music to your ears, ah :D

I would still watch out for Rossi joining Juve once the CL play-offs are over, especially if you guys get a cheaper LW and CB and/or Quag ends up leaving.

TS linking us to Alex (Chelsea).

What sort of defender is this guy?

I don't watch EPL.

Would be a fantastic acquisition for us much better than Lugano IMO. Tall, strong and hard as nails. Has a fantastic shot on him too if I remember correctly.

I think our next signing will be the CB. Then with sales of our deadwood and whatevers left over we will try get our main targetted LW.

We need smart defender. one who can see beyond what everybody can see, we need someone who can orginze the defence... Alex isn't him. He is very good IMO but I think we need someone else.

He is a wall, 1m88 tall, 92kilo, strong, Vidic type of defender.
Would be a great addition for the team IMO.

How'll he complement Chiellini though?

I guess that'd be the most important thing at this point.

Don't know, difficult to say, what do you think a CB needs to compliment Chiellini?
Probably inclined to agree with Plop. A defender with great organizational skills with respect to the whole back line. Chiellini, if he has any weak points, doesn't seem to be able to command others very well. A Nesta-sort of defender would be ideal.

Given Lugano can be had for peanuts (3.5m max), I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Juve going for both Lugano AND Alex. Bonucci would be sold in that instance. You could even have a defensive back 4 of Lichsteiner-Lugano-Alex-Chiellini in that case assuming they can work together. Either way, having your 4 choice center backs as Alex, Lugano, Chiellini, Barzagli is a big upgrade on Bonucci, Chiellini, Barzaglie, Sorensen from last season.

Nani is a target no doubt about that and its doable but again, our bid is quite low - I read 15m pounds or around EU17m for a player worth over 20m (most likely ManU would ask for 25m).

If Juve want Vargas, Fiorentina want either Quagliarella or Bonucci and not Martinez or Amauri.

My prediction is that Lugano will arrive regardless. The left wing and additional center back signing may not occur till right at the end of August.

Alex will only come if Bonucci is sold - so far Zenit and Fiorentina are interested - would be sold to Fiorentina if they decide on Vargas over Nani. Perotti ain't going to leave his club by the sounds of it and Bastos depends on Alex because Vidal represents 1 non-EU signing and we only have 1 left. But Bastos looks unlikely.

I don't mind selling Bonucci for 10m (that's possible given that Zenit already bid 8m and the rumor is we can get Alex for around 10m) if we can get Alex for similar money and Lugano is basically free almost (3.5m max with a possibility of zero).

If Juve opt for Vargas instead of Nani - expect Juve to look at the possibility of getting Aquilani at a discounted price which is possible - perhaps for 10-12m.

My dream scenario (which is not unrealistic) is Lugano, Alex and Nani. Key player to be lost would be Bonucci. Defense works out to be and extra 5-6m at most after netting off Bonucci......Nani would cost around 20-23m being realistic. Excluding last year's budget (which included the purchases of Quags, Pepe, Motta & Matri), total gross spend would be around EU65-75m. Juve should be able to raise EU15-25m from Sissoko (already done at 7m), Melo (loan up front of 1.5m), Amauri & Iaquinta (probably 8m in total if not more), Manninger (1-2m) and Martinez (4-5m?).

Would be an excellent mercato if that is the case.
