I seen that interview yesterday Alen, but I always imagined Galliani would do a swap with Fiorentina for Montolivio, with Cassano going the other way. Amauri would be the backup for Zlatan I suppose in this deal. Like you said I reckon the deal would hit a problem from our end and not their's, we would have to get rid of a striker or 3 to make room for Cassano.
Yeah, but not just that. If we do want Cassano we'll find a place for him and sell some attackers. I just feel that we would have bought Cassano already if there weren't individuals inside Juve or close to Juve who were against it. I know that Lippi dislikes him and a couple of years ago I remember that it was mentioned how there were some problems between Cassano and some of Italy's old guard (I think Cannavaro and Buffon were among them). Knowing how troublesome he was, I guess Cassano said or did something he shouldn't have done, with people from Juve and with big influence in Juve on the receiving end.

That's just a feeling I have and I badly hope that I'm wrong.

I'm all for an Amanda-Cassano swap. But then lest save the 15m on Vucinic and go all out for Nani/Bale/Ribery/Hazard on a half decent salary. Won't be easy, but monetarily possible.

Cassano Quag Del Piero Matri Toni
Am we the only ones who'd cancel a deal for Vucinic to get Cassano then? It makes so much more sense to get the better player.

Getting Cassano, or Rossi, will mean that one of Quag/Matri will go. Most probably Quag.
One of the reasons why I think the rumour is BS.

I have a feeling that Quag isn't going anywhere, where would he go? We would have gotten rid of him long time ago if we were supposed to do it.

And most important reason is that I think Marotta is far too good guy to ditch Quagliarella like that.

Cassano is one of the best players in Italy right now. It's a disgrace that we missed out on him.

I would ditch anyone in our forward line in order to get Cassano. Surely he is a key to the Scudetto.

We're buying Vucinic and that's a purchase that potentially puts Quag on the bench. Actually, the bare fact that we're chasing attacker(s) like crazy (Aguero, Rossi, Vucinic...."Vucinic doesn't exclude Aguero") says that one of Quag and Matri could very well be sold.

Anyway, it all comes down to Quag's injury. If the chances for a repeat are big, then no matter how good guy Marotta is, selling Quag while he can still give a good return of the invested money is a MUST.
It also might be in Quag's interest to go to a team where he'll be more or less guaranteed the starting spot. With the EURO coming and all that.
