There are way too many 'ifs' to know whether that will be average or good. That team could be quite good: if Rossi bags 20+ goals which he is obviously capable of, if Matri can score 15+ goals which he has also shown he can do, if Bastos manages to become consistent he can be quite good, if Krasic's hot form at the beginning of last season wasn't just a fluke and his slump was in fact due to fatigue and general team performance, if Pirlo is able to recapture his class, if Vidal is truly the great prospect he is said to be, if the Chiellini - Bonucci partnership simply needed time to settle and is enhanced by better full backs and if our squad stays fit.

Generally that entire lineup is one great big 'if' and it could go either way. A lot of it will come down to Conte.

The funny thing is that Marotta said that after Atletico apparently refused his first offer, not because another club had bid higher. Marotta doesn't even seem willing to negotiate higher prices and is only willing to bargain prices down.
