Yes, but chances are bottom low that we'll sign a top left back. Chiellini and Bonucci never looked convincing and I can't say they are good partnership so far, while Ziegler is mediocre. That makes our defense very fragile. Lich can provide strength but at the same time make the defense lot more clumsy.
Basically, we could do with a new LB. I can't think of any realistic (not Cissokho), top quality ones though.

just the fact that we need that short-term loan is a bit suspicious. could very well be we just splash it on transfers. but there's no evidence that supports that assumption.
Well we're in the transfer window so that seems to be a big evidence to support it.

There's no way this 70 Million will be to pay debt off when we have another 120 Million coming by years end.

@Dooz.No, 120m recapitalization comes in after 4-5 months. October, and will be spread across 5 seasons. While 70m is an additional Exor loan, that is effective immediately.

Yes, but you need to cover only one or two positions at this point. We're weak on several fronts.
Milan would need more than that to become world-beaters - the entire backbone of the midfield is in their mid 30s, not counting Boateng :)

Agree Juve need to address a number of positions but between this 70 mil and some sales, you guys could have close to 90 mil on your hands and players you could use as make-weight too.
If spent with care and in the right way, that's more than enough to get you 3-4 excellent players and a superstar on top of that ... Juve can easily get themselves a scudetto-contender of a team.

I think tha would need two mercatos AC. That too, if we get our moves right in this one. Not just coz of the money available but who we spend it on.

Maybe not world beaters, but a CM and some top right back would make you strong as hell. I agree about Juve, now it's all up to Marotta to spend it wisely, which I highly doubt will happen.

Really the way its worded on the press release it's 70 Million now and 120mln over the next 4 years.
the only thing that's sure right now is the 70m loan. the capital increase is not decided yet. a sufficient amount of the shareholders (defined by the bylaws of the club) need to accept the increase first. if it is agreed upon the newly issued shares need to be bought by the public first. the Exor part might be available right after the emission, but it could take a while until all the money is in. it won't take 4 years but on the other hand it's not done till the end of the year.

you can't really allocate these plain amounts of money to their designated use or to any point in time.
