I've no idea what I've just made, bored at Friday work.

Looking at the cost of buying two big attacking players plus a good midfielder to rotate with our starting three, plus a back up DC, plus a DL, I'd say that it seems more likely we will only go for one ~€25m striker and one ~€15m support striker/winger.

then we would most likely go for only one or the other, we wont get both the striker and RW/SS. As you said we need solid mid for rotation and LB/CB. 25 Mil for either jovetic or striker, 15 Mil for the mid, and about 10 Mil for LB.

A CF and RWF should be an absolute priority. We should allocate 80%+ of our budget to these two positions. We need quality up front, not more quantity and people to make up the numbers.

Backup midfielders, and some minor reinforcements in defense should take a backseat, as we can promote some of our youth/use what we currently have, particularly in midfield.

no, our strongest point is our mid, we play with a 3 man midfield with no real CMs as backup, thats insane. if we can only afford 3 upgrades then one has to go to defense one to midfield and one to attack, we cant and wont be able to get 2 starters for our attack. It has nothing to do with quantity, rather with priorities.

It does need work, but certainly the least.

We have Padoin, Pazienza, Giaccherini, Marrone, Bouy, Appelt and hopefully Verratti joining us.
If we're looking for more, we should only take players on loan or free agents. (Mundigayi comes to mind)

To spend 15-20M on Asamoah is nonsense to me. We need a CB, a winger and a CF before another star player in the midfield.

I told you so...
Rossi available for less than 15 mils

None of these clubs would guarantee him a starting place. None. So if the player pushes for it we could get him for 10ish and ready to prove himself from the bench... That must be pursued using Marotta's 'save a penny' tactic.

Rossi-Torres/Dzeko(loan)-RW
/Vucinic-Matri-Pepe/
Out:Quag, Borriello(technically never IN)

I think everyone agrees that would be an amazing mercato by itself and while it might look like a gamble I am convinced that at any point we would have a potent attack. Who would be the starting RW though?
Nani is excellent, but impossible it seems. Robben as well. ...
