Exactly. If we were heading in this same direction LAST SUMMER, I think the likes of Dzeko/Aguero would have been much more possible. New Stadium, CL money and CL to play in, plus potential to start winning trophies again, etc...this summer will be different me thinks.

i am talking now you are talking about a potential future. As for your reasonign for marotta, thats even worse than not being able to sign good players. But that's still inaccurate, we waited a while before settling for vucinic, he tried and he failed, just like he failed the summer before.

I'm not comparing them from a technical point of view. But as a whole, Cavani impresses me more than Kunt\Dzeko. Either ways it's just something that differs from one person to another. Hustini goes crazy for Dzeko\Cheesio and I for Cavani\Pepe.

Well yeah, future because I said I think we're getting there i.e. I know we're not a top club now.

His failure to make those signings had to do with cash. We maybe could've have got a star player, but he wanted to do things on our terms. Hopefully, our terms are a little more loose once our future is more secure and we are in a better financial situation. Maybe it's false hope, but I can see why we might have failed/decided not to get those players last summer.

As for Cavani he did want to play for us in the past. Marotta should just throw 40 mil at Napoli.
