Time just to go for quality:

- A CB or a LB (depending on where you want Chiellini)

- A forward (a creative wide player or a clinical finisher depending on what you prioritise)

I'd love Kolarov, Jovetic and Rossi. Should be affordable for the 25m + sales that's being bandied about.

That gives us one of the strongest defenses in Europe and some much sharper teeth upfront. With those players, a lot of those draws we've had this year turn into wins. Also gives us a team which will stand up well in the Champions League. Mabye Giovinco in as well, depending on various things.

Considering the sales ledger the last couple of years, we'd have better luck trying to do a part exchange for Jovetic. I'm sure Fiorentina would take a player or two off us.

I can't remember the last time a team swapped two players + cash for one player?

Anyways, Melo's price is set at €13 mill. I am sure we can get €10 mill out of Krasic.

€1 mill out of Zielger, €1 mill out of Pazienza. Getting rid off Iaquinta and Grosso's wages will help as well I guess..

That's something I've been wondering - is there any chance the few million we've saved on Amauri, Vincenzo and Numero Uno's wages will go into the transfer budget for next year? It's left a gap in the wage budget of course, but I don't know how the money saved was calculated into budgets etc

And I keep forgetting about Ziegler. Any idea how he's getting on?

i reckon the accounting managment calculates the wage budget way in advance (let's say beginning of season, though more likely years in advance)

so whatever is left of the budget because of sales/loans go into next year's budget overall budget.

Makes sense. So you reckon our Transfer Budget might get a wee boost in the summer?

Hopefully 3 good players.I would go for an LB(Hoping Barzagli retains his current form), 2 wide players(Vucinic, Pepe as subs)

And if the Nesta rumours have some credibility I think it would be an awesome move. Less dependency on Bonucci and Caceres in central defense

depends on if we even make the cl, but yes if we do then yes.

the thing is even without cl money for 2 years, we have spent quite a bit. it just doesn't seem that way because we spent in on a lot of players instead of a few.

come summer if we have made the cl, the focus should be on quality and quality only. 3 quality players. a defender, and 2 attackers.
