nice to see these utopic lineups

Btw, seems we'll get 25 mil + player sales

work from there.

if my source is correct, you wont be disappointed

if i'm not correct, unlikely considering our debt, its a pleasant surprise

anyway, we arent getting more then 1 marquee forward signing

Buffon
Lichtsteiner - Barzagli - Chiellini - De Ceglie
Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio
Ramirez/Gio - Rossi - Vucinic

Reserves: Storari, Caceres, Bonucci, Bouy, Marrone, Ramirez/Gio, Elia, Giaccherini, Matri, Quagliarella.

Out: Krasic (10M) Melo (12M) and Pepe (10M while he's hot. = 32M
In: Rossi (20M), Ramirez (10M), Giovinco (8M) = 38M

Player sales (32M) + Transfer kitty (25M) = 57M
57M - 38M = 19M

With that 19M maybe a bunch of squad players or a quality player.

If all we have is 25M + player sales, that's what I'm expecting.

25 million to spend? one marquee forward signing? unless your 'source' is Marotta himself I'm not sold
were some reports about if after the meeting with shareholders thats in januari

we made significant losses each year we miss the CL, now we are in it, we arent suddenly going to spend all the new cash and make the same losses

board allways said they were making significant investments, to bring the squad back up. however, we also want to become self sustaining.

consider it 25 mil+ players sales. The base number can possibly rise if the marquee signing is expected to generate significant extra income based on merchandise etc

like last season. we had about 20 mil left to sign a forward. however, if that forward was rossi or aguero, the board would allow marotta to bid in the early regons of 30 mil.

agreed, i'm aspecting a simular mercato

Could you define 'marquee' for me?
spending over 70% of the transferbudged on 1 key signing, the defining purchase

I think 25 million + player sales is spot on for summer mercato. We spent a vast portion of the 120 million euro transfer kitty last summer, and the money was supposed to last for 5 seasons. Wages are also included in the same budget.

Wish we hadn't spent a big portion of that on Vucinic as I'm sure Quag could have done as good a job, probably a better one. Elia too, was it a panic buy, such an odd transfer.

And who would that be? I don't consider Rossi to be "the next best thing after DP"...
goetze, jovetic or lavezzi would fairly decent replacements, all would cost between 20-30 million though.

After all these problems with scoring the easy goals, I expect us to spend money on a player like Damiao instead of spending them on Jovetic or something like that. Especially with Giovinco coming back who I think they're rating very highly in Juventus right now. And honestly, if we could get a goalscoring machine like Damiao, that would solve so many of our problems. Getting Jovetic, I don't know how smart that would be. He would cost us a lot of money, he doesn't fit into our formation and he's not a goalscorer.

Higauin, Dzeko or Damiao. Try getting one of these.

I said, a player taking 70% or more from the transferbudged

i didnt sai it was gonna be "the next best thing after DP"

Higuain, will not step down to us from real madrid. if he goes, its to the epl.

Dzeko is a starter in the financial strongest epl team

Damiao, is unproven in europe. alot of people dont like this, but its a fact. plenty of players from south america were beasts in their own competition and failed in europe
we dont got a history of investing in them and we wont change that

Vucinic has been by far the best forward this season, especially in the first half of it, was was a vital link between midfield and attack, and provided plenty of openings for the team and creativity. his injury and the cold weather didnt had a good effect on him tho

quag is okay, but doesnt quite makes vucinic impact

Edit : any of those 3 you mention would qualify perfectly as our marquee signing. wether we got the budged remains to be seen
