I am not confident we can't get Goetze, provided we put all out efforts towards signing him. I am sure if we go now in Dortmund with 35 millions in the bag, no loans/exchanges/penny-pinching(come to think about it no Marotta at all in the negotiations) we would sign him. Fuck, why wouldn't he sign for us? We can offer him double or triple his salary in Borussia, seem to be heading to the CL and could even be champions of Italy if not this year then, surely, soon.
In the EPL everything is getting very confusing these days. Arsenal or Chelsea will not play CL next year as it is and in Spain's two clubs he wouldn't be a starter for at least 2 years.(then we all know how foreign long -term projects end up there...) Frankly, I can't figure out many better teams where he would be such a key player in.

Surely signing him would have severe consequences on our transfer budget and our other targets. Perhaps we can forget about a center forward with world class status, unless our sales hit the roof and we do not sign defenders/midfielders (bar free ones).

How would you rate such a mercato?
IN:Goetze, Damiao/Torres, Montolivo, Estigarribia
OUT: Krasic, Quag, Melo, Ziegler, Pazienza

I would say 8-9 out of 10.

Signing at least one player like Getze will be considered as a succesful mercato.

Imagine the fapfest Sergio, me and Hust will have if we get Gotze :D

Highly unlikely though.
:tuttosport:

If we are really interested in Goetze, then we need to start the negotiating NOW!

Show we are interested in pursuing him, if we are consistent in meeting demands for him, etc...he will know we really value him and hopefully he would soften up for a move to Juve. :weee:

Out of 10 with those players?

wouldnt buy Esti, rest is great.
Well, Esti for 5 mils, given the positions he can cover I would say is a great deal. We could sell him later on with a decent profit or use him in some exchange. He would be a first team player in more than half the Seria A teams.
Anyway how would you rate it out of 10?

I can't see us sign players like Cavani, Lavezzi, Hamsik, Rossi, Higuain, Benzema & Jovetic etc. with a turd like Marotta. We need to replace him before he can destroy this team even more. He is Morattis mole. Destroying us from the inside with shitty transfers wasting our money and preventing our growth..
True...
Fuck Rossi. We need to be more ambitious, and aim for better, higher quality players. If that cunt has to come to us, then he better be the complement, not the main/marquee signing.
We need to be more ambitious, but the least we should do is someone like Rossi, or we may end up with someone like Borriello again...
so the midfielders were the reason the forwards missed all those chances I see
ppl always fail to understand that, because in their dreamworld they confuse spectacle with results, we have enough creative players, able to deliver spectacle, but ppl always crave for more and more able ones, underestimating the need for a goal scorer, who actually is a necessary ingredient, to benefit of this creativity and deliver those results with consistency.
Give me a WC forward and a quality forward and that would be superb. :)
Lavezzi - Rossi - Vucinic
Rossi will score the chances Matri misses.
Its highly unlikely that we will buy 2 WC quality starter forwards, we need to set up a priority and if we achieve that, then go for the other as well.
I hope this year we will opt for quality, rather than quality, we need to focus our attention and funds on players than can actually make the difference.
Vucinic, Giacche, Quaq and Pepe are enough in both numbers and quality, with minimal investment we can add Giovinco if we further need to boost it and we can always keep Elia for extra depth.
This young Dutch guy and Maronne a year later will offers the depth we need in the midfield.
But no one can offer us a quaranteed +20 goals/season, in their careers none of Matri, Quaq or Vucinic offered that with consistency, not even Lavezzi or Jovetic for the same money, we should be opting for a Cavani finisher, who can offer the numbers we need, Rossi is a decent substitute if we fail that level.
This should be our priority...
And depending with what we do with Caceres and Bonucci, a starter LB or CB.
