Juve insisting to get him on loan without obligation to buy, should make it pretty clear to him that Genoa would be a far better option right now.
if he was looking to retire at a mediocre team with regular playing time, yes, otherwise, no.

btw, are you referring to the same Genoa that just fired its coach or a different one? :p

You really hope he doesn't come here :D

Genoa saved us from Floro Flores last January, can they save us this time from Borriello?

:D
Borriello on loan isn't bad, if there is no obligation to buy. We're obviously not gonna buy a star in attack and we're after cheap options for the bench. You never know when will injuries hit us. A Matri or Quags long injury in January will immediately put us in a tricky situation. It's also better to have a Borriello who would give 100% in order to get a new contract than Toni, Amauri or Iaquinta who know that they are gone in 6 months.
It's just the fear that we might actually sign him in June. If Marotta and Conte intend to make it just a simple 6 months loan, then it's not a bad deal. But are those their intentions?

I hope he's not signed on a 3 or 4 year contract. He'll be a high earner and he'll be unsellable in 2 years or so. We'll get ourselves new Amauri/Iaquinta. Player we won't need pretty soon but won't want to leave since he's earning fine.
If I have a guarantee that he'll be here only for 6 months then I'd take him.

Under these following conditions:

1) On loan for 6 months + NO Obligation to buy
2) The sales of Amauri, Iaquinta, and Toni.

If these two conditions aren't met, then this deal is a joke and Marotta deserves his clown status back.

If we get Boriello it will be a permanent move. The question is does his purchase mean we'll say goodbye to a class striker? Sadly, I think so.
doubt it. I'd expect one of Matri, Borriello, Quag to be let go in the summer and with all the other strikers you are off-loading, there will be room for a proper reinforcement.
plus, it's not like there are any top strikers available now that meet Juve's "angelic character" requirements

If we are getting a Tevez class striker in the summer Boriello would be fine. But I wonder why is Marotta just waiting while Milan is getting Tevez. Why not buy a class striker now? We'll loose the scudetto because of this penny pinching.

Sky Italia reporting RUMOR that clause in Tevez contract w/City says that if they win PL, his wages will automatically double for 2 yrs

there aren't any available unless they are trouble-makers like Tevez or are hugely overpriced, if available at all - maybe Hulk, Damiao.
Milan is willing to take a chance on Tevez, Juve aren't, as it seems, and that's understandable to a big extent.
