Image if someone went back in time to December 2010, and told the forum that Juventus are guaranteed to sign Toni, Barzagli and Matri (for ~18m) in the January window.

I get it that must be the new strategy of our management. When you want the fans to fap around a shitty player, get the name of even shittier one involved in the negotiations and then everyone will pray and enjoy having the 'lesser evil'.
I was hoping if we get 2-3 players our this january and get Montolivo for cheap we could add someone really good - LB/CB/AM and improve the squad. Hopefully the player would be a future starter - i think we have reasonable depth now.

That would sound bad, however I was in favour in signing Matri, meh about Barzagli, and facepalmed hard when we signed Toni.

However, this time around when we don't have an injury crisis in our attacking line why do we need Boriello?

We signed Toni and Matri because we needed strikers, but we don't need a striker this time around so if we're to sign Boriello it'll show Marotta's true colours and he doesn't know what he's doing.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though and say these are wild rumours. I'm still hoping he'll trade Motta for Guarin, that would be a solid deal. Or bring in Montolivo for cheap, and bring us Caceres. AND get rid of some the deadweight. (Amauri, Iaq, etc)
