tremoulinas is overhyped, as for cissokho i cant see lyon selling him in January unless they have a back up plan to replace him which i doubt. Ansaldi still remains the most viable, realistic and best option for us, as previously stated he can play at rb which also solves any issues with licht when he's unavailable.
Or Ansaldi. I didn't want to make a list of all the names, but a LB of that quality. I'd be happy with: Tremoulinas, Cissokho, Kolarov or Ansaldi. How d'you feel about trying to bag Jo-Jo in January?

Jo-jo Jovetic? Viola would never sell in January.. Cissokho or Kolarov in January would be very very smart move by the club.. It would for sure make us favorit to finish at least top 3.. Add Tevez in January (with the LB) and we would be the Scudetto winners.

I bet you haven't even seen him in action, over hyped. He adds a lot offensively & he's okay defensively, considering our options he's a massive upgrade. It wouldn't hurt having an offensive LB like Tremoulinas & hell it would give us extra options because we could even deploy DC as a winger as an option, having him cover Tremoulinas as he surges forward.

In terms of over hyping a player, you are certainly doing a fine job with ansaldi. You're making him seem like some rising super star, in which case we wouldn't have a shot at signing.

we won't get him in January, i wouldn't complain about getting him at all, i do like him a lot, regardless of last night's nicely taken goal, he is as far as im concerned the only player that we can realistically buy in the next 12 months that is worthy of the num 10 shirt

when it comes to full backs i tend to judge them more for their defensive capabilities, rather than their ability to go forward, ultimately speaking that is what we need, a full back that is capable of defending better than they can attacking, i wouldn't say trem is that great at defending, which is why i much prefer ansaldi who is a no nonsense full back, but also gives a good account of himself going forward, probably most importantly gives us versatility in his ability to play at rb too, rather than entrust motta if we ever had to.

They might be willing to sell if they continue doing badly. They could use that money to reinforce. The time to strike is now. :D

Jo-Jo seems to do so well scoring from distance, would love to have that with matri being the fox in the box style around the 6 yard box.

That's a very limited way to judge a player. It all depends on how sound your defensive pairing is coupled with the compactness of the midfield. If you have those two factors in check, then an attacking fullback makes an extremely valuable option.

This is exactly the type of thing we should be looking out for. He also tapped Pirlo on the cheek.

Obviously going to join Juventus.

Yes, it causes problems for defenders in their positioning and approach. Then again, we have Quagliarella not even playing...

It's a shame, because Quagliarella of last season would have a few goals by now, and Juve a few more points from those drawn games.

The grass is always greener on the other side & we always have to lose something to appreciate it. Just thought i'd add those cliche expression to validate your post.:p

If we continue on 4-3-3 then we don't really need a winger in January.
Yeah but we will need a class midfielder which is why i asked about Ekdal.
I have a feeling we'll go for Gaston Ramirez because he can play the AM role, or even the wing position... so he won't rot on the bench if everyone's fit.

I know, I don't like seeing him ride the bench. :(
